Hey classmates! I love this website! It is so great to hear about everyone's life. Post more photos!

Lisa, thanks for sending me the link!

Heather, Kim, DeeAnn, and Wendy: thanks for writing.

Sabrina, I'm really glad that you asked about where to stay ... I have not been to Savannah since our last reunion. I'm trying to make arrangements and any help would be appreciated.

When is everyone arriving?

By the way, how is Savannah now? Has it changed much?
I look forward to seeing everyone at the reunion.

Vickie

1. Favorite Teacher - Mr. Ward! Had him in middle school and high school. He and Mrs. Ward were like parents to me.
2. Worst Teacher - I have to agree about Mrs. Bush for Chemistry!!
3. Best Friends - Vickie Vulson, had other close friends, but she is the only one that I have stayed in touch with.
4. Boyfriends! After a 9th grade disaster, I felt it was best to date people that did not go to Windsor!!!
5. Crush - Fred White in 9th grade (Adam, don't tell your cousin!!!)
6. Most embarrassing moment - Graduating last because I was late to practice.
7. Proudest Moment- Graduation and Band Festival when we did good.
8. What would I have changed - Would have spent more time with friends and less time with boyfriends.

1. Favorite Teacher?

Linda Thorne. I can't thank her enough for what she drilled into me as an artist. Speed, accuracy, meeting deadlines. I had no idea why these things mattered until I started working in the industry. And I can still hear her voice today when I'm on a deadline.

2. Least Favorite Teacher?

Here is how life experience changes your perspective. I really couldn't stand Mr. Brooks. He was so manipulative and loved to stir things up. He lived to play little power games with his students. In 1999 when I started my own company I visited Mrs. Thorne. She had retired by then. She told me that Brooks had died a few years before from complications associated with AIDS. He had been living a double life. Now it makes perfect sense that he acted the way he did. Now I look at him with pity instead of rancor.

3.Best Friend(s)?

Brian Aliffi. We were and still are very close friends. I really didn't get to know Kim Draucker until college, but we really clicked and I value the friendship we developed. And Jon Schumacher and I have known each other since first grade when his mother was my teacher. He's such a great guy and his older brother Karl is an accounting god.

4. Who was your BF or GF at Windsor?

I really didn't date anyone from Windsor. I really don't blame any of the girls there for not wanting to date me. I was a pain in the ass; way to self-absorbed to be anything but a bad experience. So in a way I was doing our school a service by dishing out tons of bad experiences to the girls at other schools.

5. Did you have a secret crush on anyone at Windsor?

One of my favorite philosophies: Leave the past were it belongs... in the past.

6. Most embarrassing moment?

I have a veritable cornucopia to choose from... I think being so horribly challenged in the style department. I looked like a redneck poodle from hell with the perm-mullet our senior year. Got to love the 80's!!! I joke Aliffi and tell him that at least I wasn't wearing pastel colors all the time like he was. Damned. We were goofy looking! Me in the leather biker jacket and a tie. Woo hoo!

7. Proudest moment?

Winning the metals and awards in VICA for commercial art. Doing the cover of Miscellany. Winning an art scholarship to college.

8. One thing you would change if you could?

I would like to have been more aware of other people's feelings. I think I stepped on people's toes because I just was too thick to get it most of the time. As a result I felt like I sometimes acted like a total ass. I get it now. And to those of you who may have experienced my sharp side I am sincerely sorry. I'm a much nicer person now.

I called Joey Garman and talked to his wife and she'll give him the information. I sent emails with this website information to the following people who signed my guestbook on Classmates: Paul Jung, Octavious Cook, Laura Bond and Jeremy Steinke. I also scanned the Armstrong list on Linked In (they don't have high schools listed) and contacted Chuck Cooper. I didn't see anyone else from the years I attended, but I might keep looking on later years.

Jennifer,
Great job on contacting everyone!

I do have a question for you, is Sav'h Int'l Trade & Convention Center on the River Street side or over the bridge? Do you know of any reasonably priced hotels in that area or the best place to stay?

It's been so long since I've been to Savannah, I don't remember some of the details.

Thanks

I just added some photos of Brian Aliffi and Tom Snyder to my profile.
I've got a ton of photos from school in a box around here. I came across them not too long ago.
I'll see if I can find them. Many of you have no idea that Aliffi and I were running around snapping photos when you were not looking.

I just added some old photos to my profile. I was talking with Ashley Johnson about these old pictures this morning. We never brought a camera to school (thankfully, many of you did), so the only pictures I have from then are ones where I am featured prominently (sorry), since it was probably my mom who was taking them. I'm looking for more and will try to post them soon. So glad to see the recent buzz on this site. Thanks again to Natalie, the pep squad, and the detectives.

Vickie,

Yes, the Trade Center is the one on Hutchinson Island. There are a lot more hotels downtown than there used to be, Hilton Garden Inn, I think, on Bay St. is a new one and there's the Hyatt, the Desoto Hilton, Mulberry, Hampton Inn, Marriott. I'm not sure what the prices are for them, but I'd check out the Savannah visitors center website, www.savcvb.com to get the best information. Hope this helps for anyone!

Joey Garman signed on today! How's that for speed?!

I just found the most effective and easiest way to have your computer screen cleaned.

Hope it works for you as well,

You're welcome, Vickie!

I put the details of the reunion on Savannahnow.com's calendar and also sent them to the editor of the Southside Closeup to see if we can get published there. Once again, Valerie, you inspired me!

Kudos to all those who set this site up. What an excellent resource to reconnect with all of you. Thank you!
My favorite teacher had to be Ms. Todd. Although, Boylston still cracks me up the way he used to pronounce certain terms. I am not sure I really know how to pronounce 'congruent.'
My least favorite teacher was that yearbook lady. She is a nice lady but she had a penchant for routinely riding my case.
My proudest moment was getting through graduation without somehow getting in trouble.
My least proudest moment had to be when I had to go to the Homecoming game my Senior year with my Dad in tow. I had gotten in trouble during the egg wars at Armstrong, and spent the night in the City jail/drunk tank. The only reason I got to go to the homecoming game is because I had committed to escort Alan's girlfriend (Darci)on the field. I was then quickly removed from the festivities. (Can we encrypt this so my kids can't read this?!)
Best Friends had to be Joey, AJ (go heels), Alan, Billy, Jeremy, Stephen, Andrea LaPray, Miki...many more that I really enjoyed friendships with, hard to list them all.
Secret crushes... Alan G. I always had a crush on you man! (just kidding everyone.) I always had a big thing for Daisy Duke.
Regrets - I needed to be less concerned about the common high school issues.

1. Favorite Teacher? Changed through the 3 years I was there...Ms. Meddin, Coach Brown, actually like Ms. Bush (she stuck up for me with Shaw) and Ms. Hearn, even though she kicked me out of class all the time at 6th period. She smoked a pipe for crying out loud! Adam, do you remember singing Doors tunes in her class?

2. Least Favorite Teacher? Number one was Ms. Vinson!! She really did not like me either. I wrote the score across her blackboard in Calculus or Pre Cal when Bama beat Auburn. All down hill from there. Didn't particularly care for Shaw. I remeber he was in his car behind a group of us taking a carriage ride from 1790 to the prom. We were drinking sparkling wine and waving at him.

3. Best Friend(s)? Had a lot of really good ones
4. Who was your BF or GF at Windsor?N/A

5. Did you have a secret crush on anyone at Windsor? Even though I bet some of you would think someone else...Vickie Farber. Was really happy to see her win Homecoming Queen. Didn't She?

6. Most embarrising moment? acting like a total jackass after my car was broken into after the Jenkins game Sr. year. What a jerk.

7. Proudest moment? Soccer Championship and getting a narrative essay, although highly edited, in the school paper describing one of many incidents with Mr. Somerset. I wrote a poem for a tardy excuse and it kinda ticked him off so he made me sit in his office. I walked out and told him he was keeping me from my education and he came and got me out of MacDonald's class...again. I think I still have it somewhere b/c I thought it was funny.

8. One thing you would change if you could? Stayed awake in class. Kept my mouth shut more. Wouldn't have driven my Spitfire so hard. I broke a total of 3 crankshafts in that thing.

Hey guys! Its great to see so many people starting to update their profiles and tell their stories. I only have two suggestions.

1. I'd love to see pictures of everybody now, and their families too. Seeing how everyone looks now helps me realize that it really has been 20 years! (And makes me laugh and feel better about my own physical changes! LOL! j/k!)

2. If you know you can attend the reunion, please sign up for the reunion, so the little man shows up and we know who to expect! I really missed alot of you 10 years ago!

Also (I guess this makes 3 things!) please contact Grant Sims to let him know if you are interested in playing golf that weekend. I think we are going to try to schedule it for Sunday morning. I'm afraid that not enough people will be able to make it if we do it Thursday morning. Friday might work too. Please let him know which works better for you, and especially if one definitely does NOT work for you! Saturday is out because of the family picnic.

JOEY & CARTER - PUT UP SOME PICTURES!!!!

You're welcome, Heather! I do the same thing for publicity for the church, so I figured it would be good for this, too! Hope it helps!

More Kudos to those who have put so much in to this site. For someone who spends so much communicating at work... I sure have stunk doing it with High School friends. It is great to see how well people are doing and i hope to see many of you at the Reunion.

Cheers and God Bless,
Todd

Hi everyone! I love this website! It's been so fun to keep coming back to it every couple of days to see new postings. I'm impressed with how accomplished everyone is. I also am inspired about the "no classmate left behind" policy! Good idea, Heather and Alan. I know Holly Matthews Baker now lives down the street from my Mom and Dad in Savannah so I'll try to get in touch with her. Can't wait to see you all!

Enjoy!

Hi everyone!

It can NNNNNNNot have been 20 years!

I've wondered many times how everyone has been doing. We still come to Savannah every now and then. When we're there, I'm always looking for ya'll and was begining to think Mark Jones was the only person still living there. I did run into Lisa (hi, Lisa) one time at the mall several years ago but no one else.

Adam, please tell me you still own that Firebird!

Glad to see ya'll are doing good.

Sorry guys that I write everything in bullet points but I've been a COP for to long.

See ya'll, Bob b.k.a Bobby, in those days

This message is for those of us who are currently living away from the Savannah area.

There is some GREAT NEWS!!!!!
I just spent a weekend down there and its not as hot as it was back when we all lived there. (its down to 115 degrees at night) There is even better news... the G-nats missed us so much that they have been reproducing since the time we left there and now how a much bigger welcoming party (isnt that right Angela). Just thought I would bring this great news to some of us.
