Not much until 2003, when I retired, except working 9-5 like so many of us, me for the Federal Government. Since 2003 we've traveled to Paris, Monte Carlo, all over the Carribbean and I wrote a book and it was just published on June 21, 2012 on amazon.com. It's called SNAFU, Hysterical Memoir About Why the Government Doesn't Work a book of stories about the funnier side of my Government career.
May 2020 - Moved from Orlando, FL back to Venice! Just wanted to come home, hated Orlando more each year. Living at Bird Bay Village.
Lori Whitacre and I stood in the alley by the movie theater and listened to "Hey Jude" playing at the Prom that was held at the KMI Building. I never made it to prom, but I think Lori did in her senior year.
I was planning on graduating in 1970 with the rest of Venice High and then my parents decided we were moving in 1969 to Baton Rouge, LA. One of the major events in my life, not in a good way. I went into a serious depression. Then, as if that wasn't enough my parents moved again after only 6 mos of my senior year in LA. I graduated from Escambia High School in Pensacola, FL. After the reunions started, I asked Lori Whitacre, my best friend, to see if I might still be able to come to the reunions and the answer was yes. The last one I attended was 1993. Got married in 1995, divorced in 2020. Love, love Venice, always have and always will. I told Sue Sheaffer when I came to visit in 2019 that I would be moving back someday and that day is now.
Used to go back all the time, but ever since my best friend Lori Whitacre (Weyers) moved, I haven't been back.
Came for a visit in May 2019 and got together with Sue Sheaffer, Andi Wolfer, Becky Roberts Cable and Dee Blades Sharp for dinner at Dockside Waterfront Grill.
Venice is my permanent vacation spot now.
Yes, whenever you have them

I remember Bruce as if it was yesterday. Who could forget that red hair. He was a braniac, so smart, so witty, so sweet. I send prayers for his family. I'm so very sorry for your loss.

I had to look back at his profile picture from school to recognize him. I am so very sorry, he was a really, really nice guy. My sympathy to his family.
Although I didn't come to Venice until 8th grade I have very fond memories of Pam. She was one of the prettiest girls in school and just like Joseph said, she wasn't "stuck up", she was friendly to all. See you in heaven Pam!
I remember Jane as well. She was very, very smart, nice and quiet. My prayers go out to her family. Rest in Peace Jane.
