Fred Patterson

I had lunch with Pellegrini yesterday, we talked a long time about how much we all picked right up with each other just like we had never been apart. Janie Young (Danny's wife) commented to me that all the "girls" on the dance floor wanted to "spank my a_ _" No wonder my butt hurt the next day!!!

How does that song go Rick? "I wish they all could be Johnston County girls". You are right too, brother- These girls talk like southern belles don`t they?

Bruce...I was sitting in Kenan and watched it all. Pretty sweet. Hope to see the Wolfpack do the same to Miami next Saturday at Carter-Finley.

You guys would have to bring up the State game. My wife's been in a sh--ty mood ever since (a UNC grad). I'm just hoping my Davidson Wildcats can do some more good during basketball season. We lost a close one to OKlahoma.

Rick H.: Good to hear from you! I missed seeing you.

To Fred: What can I possibly add to what the others have said. Thanks so much for putting this together. This had to be the best one yet. Great to see everybody.

I noticed too how happy and comfortable everybody seemed. It was good to see. We DID have something special in that class. Nice to see we haven't completely lost it.

I just read Renee Gilman's profile tribute to her big brother, Chip Picot, and it made me think of our classmates who have left us far too soon. I believe they are in a better place and at reunion time they were all standing together, looking Earthward, and singing "North star whose flame burns crimson, white and blue...from thy proud portals light horizons new..."

I ain't ashamed to admit I remember every word of that song.

Hang on, friends...we will join you by and by.

Hi Everyone,I was crazy about football back at North, still am.Rick McClain and I used to sit in Art Study Hall and chat about the last North game or any kind of game we watched on tv.Now I follow college football. The ACC has been wild this year. One of our Elders is a GT Grad, well we live in GA.I still shout for the Heels, sorry Wolfpack,Wake. The SEC is cut and dry this year,Bama and Fla.I think Fla is going to wipe Bama all over the field. But,both have luck sway their way so many times that it will be interesting to see. What are you guys take on the BCS and bowls, then Champ game? Please keep it clean,LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL

Fred..I haven't had a chance to respond, but a million thanks go out to you and the committee for the best reunion yet! I don't think I can wait another five years for us to get together. I've heard "Taking Care of Business" twice since the reunion, and LOL at us, who overtook the band to sing it! Steve Choplin (AKA John Travolta) said all that dancing made his back hurt for a couple of days! By the way Fred, just how much money fell out of your pants that night?? What a special bond we all share, which seems to strengthen as we grow older. It is a great group of people, and I feel so blessed to be a part of it all.

To David Wilson: And what, exactly, did you mean to ask me, David?!
And to Fred and Committee: Thanks for your enthusiasm and hard work!

Pam Grogan (Garner)

Fred, I just wanted to say that You, and I know there were others who helped, did a fabulous job with the reunion and this Web Site. What a fun way to keep in touch with all our classmates. I am so looking forward to the next reunion.
I hope our goal next time is to try and find others who we have lost contact with. Let me know if I can help.
Hope everyone had a Great Thanksgiving.

Pam and the rest of you, thanks so much for your accolades..it really wasnt that hard to put this on. With past history of records and history and the internet, my job was easier. Why do I do it, well, you all are without a doubt the best group of friends...we need to keep our connections in life alive..

Fred

To Valerie:

Ah, you caught me. I would have asked you what are you doing that keeps your old man looking so young? Whatever it is you are doing it right.

It really was great seeing you both again. I hope we can meet up sometime before another 5 or 10 years pass again.

Let me know if you're ever coming out to the Greensboro area.

To all Mineral Springs folks, and anyone else that remembers Dennis Stoltz.....

Don Addington notified me that Dennis Stoltz's mother, Geneva, passed away this week. The funeral was Wednesday. The WS Journal online obit is at http://www.legacy.com/WinstonSalem/DeathNotices.asp?Page=Notice&PersonID=120656326. You can send Dennis a message through the online guest book for Geneva.

Dennis was in our NFHS class in the 10th grade and was "redistricted" to East Forsyth when we changed to a 2-year high school program the next year. I was always hopping mad about that. Dennis was my best friend. Don and I, and maybe some of you, were fortunate enough to have known Geneva personally, she was like our second Mom. Don is trying to get Dennis's email address but you can go to the WSJ obit site and send him a message if you want to. I'm sure he will remember you and appreciate your kind thoughts.

I am so proud of our group! We kicked it up and had a great time at the 35th Reunion...I'm with Mary Kay on 'Takin Care of Business'. I just keep thinking about the Reunion, and the song 'Family Affair' continues popping up. When you re-connect with everyone, it feels like just yesterday the North Forsyth '73 Graduating Class is still in 'SCHOOL'.

This is a special blessing to me, as I have lost touch with so many of you. I became so busy in my day-to-day rat race life, I overlooked rekindling friendships that were really never LOST. With this site we can stay in touch and reach out to each other for so many reasons.

FRED - Count me in with Pam Grogan for searching out Classmates for updated information.

My best to EVERYONE.

Fred Patterson, how in the blue blazes did you teach me all those elf dance moves in such a short period of time?

That video is hilarious. Thanks for including me in it. I am exhausted just from watching it.

Does anyone know what happened to Chip Picot and Randy Woodle.

If I remember correctly, Chip had a heart attack while sitting at his home computer, and I think Randy had cancer. Others will no doubt have more or better info.

Hi Guys, It was great to see everyone on Friday night. Sorry we couldn't make it on Saturday. Everybody looks wonderful!! Fred, thanks so much for all of the hard work you have done. As we get older, we realize how much friends mean to us, and Fred has really brought us together again. As far as Randy passing, he did indeed have colon cancer. He had a colostomy reversed in March 2007, and he was doing very well. In November he came back from a business trip with a high fever, went to the Dr. on Friday and they put him on an antibiotic. On Sunday, he was not better, so he was admitted to the hospital. They found he was extremly septic. He died on Tuesday night, Nov. 20, 2007. I told several people on Friday night, but now everyone can know. Again. it was marvelous to see everyone, and I have really enjoyed reading about your families and seeing your pictures.

Today is Dave Wilson's 67th birthday. Congrats, Sir Dave!

Note to file: Send Dave a supply of tire black to restore his hair and beard to its youthful color.

Just kidding there, Dave-oh. Happy Birthday, brother man.

Happy Birthday David!!!! I know you're not 67. Our birthdays are only 1 day apart and I know I'm not 67.
Anyway, we're not getting older only better. Wish I had known then what I know now.
Love ya and tell Diane hello and I really enjoyed her at the reunion. (You too)
