Renee Gilman (Chip Picot's Sister)

I saw the question about Chip. He died while on vacation at Myrtle Beach. He had just finished cooking breakfast for his family (which he loved to do) and they were joking and he has a massive heart attack. He has three daughters--Tara who is 31, has two children (Jacob and Chloe); Chelsea is 23 and Julien Gabrielle (Gabbi) who is 14. He loved North and had so many friends there. I remember most of you from football games where I was just "Chip's little sister"--but how I treasured those times.

Thank you for letting me be a small part of your group!!!!

Hey Fred,
I loved the elf dance but there was only one problem.
It's hard to stick dollar bills into tights. Ha

Hey, it was great seeing you all again. You folks still know how to party! Remember when you could do that on back to back nights? Not anymore. Guess that's why we only get together every 5 years. Many thanks to all those who took part in the reunion planning. One memory that I recalled made me feel real sad. I had forgotten how many of my poor, misguided classmates went on to become NC State fans. Go Heels!

Yeah, you MOO U fans are about as bad as those tarbabies.. GO DEACS !

Pam Grogan (Garner)

Happy Birthday Pam and David. You two party like your 27. In fact Fred didn't I see you as a former Chippendale Dancer. If not you should have been the way you were showing us how to slip those dollar bills in.i
It must be nice to go to a Renion and come home richer.
I am having more fun with this website. It is so wonderful to reconnect with old and now new friends. Thank you Fred and whom ever for creating it.
I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving.

Fred as I am looking at Viking Profiles and there are several names that I don't see. Does any one know where Teresa Proctor, Donna Hammaker, Elyse Smith, Mike Parsley, Mitzi Lawson, Pam Poe Moore, Etc Etc. are and why they are not on our profiles. I am sure there are lots more names that we need to add to this list. Lets put our thinking caps on and see how many more people we are missing and where they might be and add then to the list. I have info on a few of these.

Ilyse Smith (Harris)

Hey Pam,
I am on the list, but haven't finished my profile. It was great talking to you, Donna, and Mike again. I am so sorry I missed this reunion. At least the cast is off my foot and I am walking again. I will call Donna and tell her to sign on to this website. It is so great to see all the pictures and profiles. Everyone looks great...even if we are a little more "seasoned".

Happy Birthday Pam!!!!

And for all of you UNC folks (Luebchow) all I can say is:

12/02/08 09:46 PM #48

There, that wasn't so hard.

GO DEACS!

If you haven't read Sy Hauser's profile, do it now. She says what I would've said if I had any writing ability.

Nominated for MOP (Most Outstanding Profile).

Hi everyone...

Gosh...I hate i missed the reunion this year...sounds like you all had a blast...can't wait until the next one...also happy birthday David, Pam and Patty....hope you guys had a nice 30th birthday...you all look good for your age...

I must ditto Rich Hardy, who is by no means a slouch in the writing category. Syteria's profile was a wonderful read. Hats off to the lady with the flair for words. It felt like I was back in school while reading it.

12/04/08 12:13 AM #53

David Wilson

Uh.....Who is Rich Hardy?

12/04/08 12:54 AM #54

Rick Hardy

Rich Hardy? I could be wrong, but wasn't he that creepy kid who always hung out in the A/V room with Thurlo Gunch and Dork Dorkleson?

Anybody catch UNC's destruction of Michigan State last night? It was Awesome Baby! By the way, who did State play in the ACC/Big 10 Challenge? Oh, that's right. They weren't invited. Maybe next year, Dennis.

Rick Hardy

Michigan State was overwhelmed by superior talent and coaching...much like how the Tar Holes football team was overwhelmed by the Pack except in that case the Holes also had superior talent.

Maybe the fans disguised as aluminum for the whole 4th quarter had something to do with that.

Just sayin'.

Play nice, children.

Looks like Rich (sic) has my back.

Pam Grogan (Garner)

Hey has any one talked to Gary Mundy since he got back from deer hunting. Does he know about this website? I see a few people who have not updated their profiles.

The reunion was so much fun that I hate that we are not going to see each other for another 5 years. So I thought I might throw this idea out there. How about us planning a cruise in about 2 1/2 years.Adults Only Give the economy a chance to come back. Maybe a four day cruise down to the Bahamas some where. Of course the cruise line would not know what hit them. Let me know what you thoughts are.

12/08/08 09:22 AM #60

John Luebchow

Pam, we need to do something before the next reunion. By my calculations, many of us will be 60 at the next one. In dog years, we'll be dead!
