Pam & John... (and all!!!) GREAT IDEA!!

Let's try to get this cruise together February/March of 2010.

We will at least have time to 'get over' this reunion, and time to get ready for 'SWIM SUITS'. And, I do mean 'boy's' and 'girls'!!!. Ha.

If we get this going, I need to hire a personal trainer. I will have to charge the COMMITTEE, of course.

Do you guys think this would be TOO SOON?

Please let me know,

My Best,

Sheilah

John you are too funny.
Maybe you need the personal trainer not Shelia to whip your butt in shape so you'll be ready to dance the night away on the cruise ship. In fact you look great. It appears that Patti has been taking pretty darn good care of you.

You don't need a personal trainer - simply put yourself on a liquid diet and do plenty of 12 oz. curls! A cruise sounds like a great idea - count me in!

OMG,, I think I have unleashed a new community of partyers on the world!!!! A cruise would be neat, that would be in time for Debbi and my 30th wedding anniversary. Good luck getting her on a boat though, she has awful motion sickness..

lol, well we could even set up this site for such an event to have sign ups, etc.

Deb, too many 12 oz. curls can cause you to break your elbow!

I knew there was something special about the class of 73...........majority of people know how to party!!!

Fred...I have the PERFECT remedy for motion sickness. On my last cruise, I asked the bartender how to fight motion sickness. We were warned we would be going through a 'little rough waters'! His sugesstion worked like a charm. Start drinking alcohol immediately upon boarding. Don't over do it, just keep a 'STEADY' buz. That tricks your brain to think it's the booze, not the motion. It REALLY works. We were with a group of friends (one which is a NC STATE HIGHWAY PATROLMAN). He didn't buy the remedy, and wore a 'motion sickness patch'. When he came down to dinner the first night he was absolutely GREEN with motion sickness. Short night for him!

So, there you go...let's set up a 'Who Wants to Cruise?' area and see wants to play...

Sheilah, your suggestion works on more than just motion sickness. I use it all the time to cure what ails me. Believe it or not, I actually did it at the reunion, but didn't tell anybody. With all that "motion" on the dance floor, I'm glad I did!

All of you guys are crazy! I love the Tar Hole and Wolfpack barbs. The class of '73 rocks and is not shy when it comes to party time, right Hodges? It is amazing how fast we all catch up and remember fond times from Ridgemont(North Forsyth Hi)The cruise does sound like a great idea. Let Debbie and I get Whitney married off on June 27, 2009 and we will be all set to go in 2010. For the ones who haven't posted pics, get on the ball and give us all some recent pics!

Billy you are so right. I love the way Sheilah and John think. Apparently Hank Jr. didnt have a class like 73 if all his rowdy friends settled down. If a cruise happens I will have to take a week off after to get over it!!
We could get Danny Young to fly us to Miami to start the cruise. We may have to keep his drinking to a minimum!!

Dennis,

Were Pam and Pat Poe in your first grade class at Rural Hall?

12/12/08 01:37 PM #72

Donna Canter (Goforth)

Hey Dennis.....those school pictures are great. I have mine from 1st & 2nd grade also. I need to post them. Looks like Pat and Pam Poe was in one and I think I see you on the front row of grade 2 ... is this correct?

12/12/08 03:25 PM #73

Billy Spaugh

Hey Rick, We could Danny to run a cruise shuttle to Miami. We'll have to check into that.

12/12/08 05:05 PM #74

Dennis Weatherman

Yes Pat & Pam Poe are in the 1st grade picture.
Pat is in the front on the right and Pam is in the front row on the left next to me (I am at the back end of that row). Fred Patterson is sitting on the other side of Pam. Linda Robertson is in the front row on the right toward the end and George Cox is the last one in that row. Danny Young is in the plaid shirt in the back right next to the pole and Martha Briles is in the back row on the left side next to that pole.

Donna in the 2nd grade picture, I am in the back row sitting in front of the teacher. I am styling in my suit and tie (once a playah, always a playah). In fact I am the only guy that dressed up for the picture. Martha Briles is in the front row, third one in and Fred Patterson is the last one at the end of the second row. I think Sharon Poindexter is the 1st one on the second row (my memory fails me sometimes these days)while Bob Lewis is on the first row in the middle. Bob is the only one in the picture NOT looking at the camera.

The pictures came out small on the website (they are larger than that on my PC), but if you save them to your PC and then open them, I believe they will be clearer. The 2nd grade one had to have been taken around Easter because on the wall in the back are all of these construction paper, cut out bunnies we had made.

I will probably get in trouble for sharing this, but in the 1st grade Fred Patterson used to cry so much that the teacher, Ms. Young would have to take him upstairs to his older sister's class and let him sit with her just so he would SHUT UP! I know his sister must have loved that! Fred what Ms. Young should have done is SPANK THAT A$$!!!

Billy we will just have to put someone in charge of Danny to keep him sober!!

Gents,

Judging by my current physique, and some others that were at the reunion, we should be able to pony up a decent group to compete in the cruise ship belly flop contest at the pool. Of course, Dennis is still a stick and will not be able to compete. He can sit with the ladies and watch. I'm sure he won't object too strongly.

Hey Rick, slant right on two......ready....break!

12/14/08 09:46 AM #77

Rick Hodges

Hey David , Remember BEND BUT DON'T BREAK

12/14/08 02:10 PM #78

Dennis Weatherman

David.

No objections from me. You guys knock yourselves out. I'll just drink some cold ones while socializing with the ladies. I just hope the cruise ship is smart enough to assign cabins so that passenger weight is equally distributed around the ship. I would hate to have all of you "husky" guys located on the same side as it would suck to have the ship tilted sideways during the cruise.

How about those Deacs, eh? Nice bowl win and some payback to boot. It looked scary at first, but they pulled it off. Those senior class players can be proud.

GO DEACS!

Congrats to the Deacs. In my College Football Bowl pick 'em pool, they earned me 34 points! I must say that they had me throwing things after their first half performance. Nice comeback.
