Boyce Shore

After entering NCSU 1973, after dating Anne more and more, after her wanting to transfer to NCSU, after misguided thinking that this would "cramp my style"(if I had any), after her wanting to transfer to ASU, after me proposing to her 3 times to get her to stay, after marriage in 1975 (really cramping my style), after kicking for the JV at NCSU for Spring Ball, after cancer in1977 (doctors told Anne & Parents to prepare my funeral), after graduation NCSU in 1977, after remodeling home and studio in 1978, after launching the business in 1978, after listening to Coach Nifong one more time and begging to coaching football at NF in 80-84(went to the playoffs every year, after marriage counseling in 1982 (because of football & business), after adopting children in 1987-2001, after 9 foster babies 93-02, after learning how to camp from the mountains to the coast, after home schooling one thru high school, one thru 8th grade, after Anne burning out and needing a long rest, the rest are in school now, after 835 weddings (some twice), after 2000+ bridal sessions, after 1500 sessions, after 300+ seniors, after earning all of the photo awards that I set my eyes on, after remodeling home again 99-00, after wondering what happen to the photography business after the digital revolution, I'm still wondering were all of the time went, do the only 'style' I have left is in my hair, what is 'retirement', and if Mike Livingood still has my T2000 tennis racket he borrowed and never returned.

I sure had a lot of funny stories that I could have written here, however, I need to be respectful to the ones in those stories since some of them have now been promoted beyond this life.
So, I had Mr. Schuler for history in the 10th grade and it was right after lunch. And in Mr. Schuler's class, if you fell asleep, he would give you a sleeping grade.
Well, Anne was in the class with me and was seated in the desk in front of me.
One afternoon we were in the class and I noticed that she had fallen asleep in front of me. I poked her in the back quietly and, I thought, very secretly. However, Mr. Schuler spoke up and said "Mr. Shore, no need to wake her up, she's already got her sleeping grade for the day."
Now, she returns the favor to me during our church services! At least 4xs a month! 😖🙏😉

Too many to remember!
Not surprising since I had my (at least to me) first girlfriend in kindergarten.
She was in school with our class.
I'll just see if she can remember and come forth herself. I even went home with her after kindergarten class was over and spent the afternoon at her home chaperoned by her mother of course!
Some of the others, will just have to be named by their initials.
LW - MG - PP - DN - PG - PA - LC - LV - MA - AM - LR - MW - PT....... But The one who stole my heart did so in the 7th grade and even after dumping me five times, I finally was rewarded for persistence and we will be married for 49 years August, the 17th, 2024!

We have totally been through our wedding vows; for better or for worse, for richer or poor, through sickness and health, and the last one yet to be experienced, is till death do you part.
However, we don't look at it as death, we look at it as a promotion/graduation from this short life to eternity, given to us freely by Jesus Christ, our Savior.
