Died: February 26, 2024 in Las Vegas
Carol Ann Penze, 80 years of age, of Las Vegas NV sadly passed away on Monday, February 26, 2024 surrounded by her family at Mountain View Hospital in Las Vegas, after a long struggle with a heart illness.
The sun rose and the world welcomed Carol on her birth of June 07,1943 to her parents, Eleanor & Harold, in the city of Junction City KS, a day the world became a little brighter. Carol lived a full and warm life, filled with joy. Carol will be fondly remembered and sorely missed.
Carol grew up in Crystal Lake IL and attended Crystal Lake Central High School, where she met the love of her life, Joseph Penze. After that, Carol and Joe were married September 15, 1962 at St. Thomas Church in Crystal Lake.
Carol worked at; Oak Industries in Crystal Lake IL, Singer Controls/Eaton Corp. in Crystal Lake IL, Intermatic Inc. in Spring Grove IL.
Carol had many friends and family who loved her. When she worked at Intermatic she met Teri Anderson and over the years stayed in contact with Carol and they became close friends.
Carol enjoyed crafting, making so many amazing things including; quilts, rugs, clothes, wall hangings. She also loved to cook food and go shopping. Carol also loved to watch her hometown sports teams including the Las Vegas Golden Knights and the Las Vegas Raiders.
Carol was predeceased by her parents, Eleanor Mott & Harold "Shine" Dowell, who was an Army veteran. Her sister & brother in law, Sandra Henningsen & Michael Henningsen, and niece Debra (Penze) Boyer.
Carol is survived by her husband of 62 years Joseph Penze, son Gerald (Jerry) Penze and daughter in law Kelly Penze, her brother in law & sister in law Frank & Jackie Penze and brother in law Richard Penze. Carol also leaves behind her four sisters Penny Quandt, Sheryl Ganshert, Joanne Austin and Cricket Kolonick, and two brothers, Michael Dowell & Mark Wagner, and nieces Melissa Henningsen, Cori Henningsen, Kami Henningsen and nephews David Henningsen and Michael Penze.
