Janet Rebecca “Becke” Ferris, born April 24, 1953 in Houston, Texas, the daughter of Victor and Nancy Krueger. Becke passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on April 11, 2021 in San Antonio, Texas.
Becke was a wife, beloved mother and sister. She was preceded in death by her parents, Victor and Nancy Krueger, sister Susan Ruffin and cousin Deborah. She is survived by her husband of ten years, Colonel Michael P. Ferris, Jr., daughter, Lesley Anne Watts and fiancé Zane Travis, sister Vicki Goodrich and cousins, Kathleen, Beverly, Leah, Martina and Michelle, stepchildren, Caroline and Thomas Ferris and two grandchildren Raelan and Casey.
Becke lived in Houston until moving to Luling, Texas with former husband, James Watts in the late 80’s. They were blessed with a beautiful daughter Lesley Anne. Becke determined early on that San Antonio schools would offer Lesley the education and opportunities she deserved and has been a resident of San Antonio for over 25 years. Lesley Anne was the center of Becke’s life until her last breath.
Becke was spiritual, faithful, kind, patient, forgiving, cheerful, fun, beautiful and compassionate. She continually set examples on how to live life to the fullest and focus on important things in life. She exemplified the high road and was always positive and optimistic. She had the gift of hospitality, loved entertaining family and friends and was an avid study of all recipes.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you consider donations to the research and cure for ovarian cancer and Becke’s favorite cause for children to always have a Christmas, Operation Christmas Child.
