Died February 11, 2001 at the age of 30 from Sarcoma Cancer in Houston Texas.
Thomas is survived by: sisters, Michelle Amschwand Stocker (WHS 83) & Jane Jacqueline Amschwand (WHS 86), father, Jacques Amschwand and wife, Melissa Amschwand
Tommy was a bright, funny and genuine spirit in this world. He was a cheerleader and soccer player at Stratford High School. He was a guy's guy and a girl's dream. Tommy was a rising star in his career, which was cut short by a diagnosis of sarcoma cancer.
His mother passed from sarcoma only three and a half years before Tommy was diagnosed. While in treatment, he put together the concept for a foundation that raises money for research and a housing program for those visiting M.D. Anderson. That foundation is now run by his widow, Melissa, and has made a significant impact on the lives of thousands. If you would like to make a donation or check it out, got to www.sarcomacancer.org.
