Thirteen seniors enrolled in the International Baccalaureate (IB) program at Westchester Academy for InternationalStudies (WAIS) (formerly Westchester High School) earned the prestigious IB Diploma this year. The IB program is a rigorous course of study that rivals the much better known Advanced Placement program. Westchester Alumni Association has awarded 30 scholarships to graduating WAIS seniors totaling $30,000 since 2007. See article at the link below for more details and pictures.
Thank you very much for your past support of the Scholarship Fund. Of the thousands of Wildcats who attended Westchester, you are among the 2% percent of former students whose donations help fund and perpetuate the Westchester education and experience. We hope to increase that percentage to more than 10%.
YOUR gift made a critical difference. Thanks to your commitment, 30 students have been provided $1k scholarships receiving our vital support since we began providing scholarships in 2007.
Economically, it is a challenging time for us all and it is more important than ever for former students to support our Alma Mater. As government support continues to decline, the cost of university education increases. Westchester students need our support and the benefit of the good fortune we have been blessed with.
The Scholarship Fund is essential for filling the gaps created by these economic shortfalls. Please renew your support today. It's not how much you give but that you give - every donation makes an impact.
