Bill Huxham

From graduation year in 1958 I worked for various tow boat firms including Dolmage, Vancouver Tug and SeaSpan. Vicky and I were married in 1962 and moved to Vancouver Island, on to a farm property in Black Creek, BC. Started working for Crown Zellerbach at the then very productive paper mill in Campbell River. Returned to school in 1976, I believe, as a mature student and was reintroduced to Bill Wedley who was a professor at this newly opened university. Graduated in 1978 went on to become a Chartered Accountant. After some time with KPMG I set up my own accounting practice in Courtenay and spent my entire career working in that profession. The practice was sold to MNP in 2006 and I retired from public practice at that time. I went on to managing a number of business's for various reasons including a spell as manager of Burns Lake Community Forest. I am back retired on the farm we started from which my son acquired from us in 1997, living on the property picked up in 1962.
