Comments:

Graduated from Purdue University June, 1972 with a BS Mechanical Engineering, met my wife, Julie at Purdue, we married after she graduated December, 1973. Since graduating from college I worked in the Energy business in various capacities of designing & building power plants and related environmental systems. I've worked for only 2 companies over my 42 year career, Babcock & Wilcox in Barberton, Ohio for 30 years and Pyropower in San Diego, CA for 12 years. This business has taken me all over the world, including living in Beijing for 2 years, 2001 - 2002. I spent the last 12 years of my career with B&W with responsibility for B&W's ventures in China and India. During that time I was based in the B&W Barberton, Ohio (near Akron) office about 1/3rd of the time, another 1/3rd I worked from my home in California and the final 1/3rd I spent traveling, mostly overseas. All 4 of our children have graduated from college and have careers, something we are very proud of. Our oldest, Matthew (adopted) has yet to marry, he is a RN in a hospital ER in San Diego, Meredith (divorced) is the mother of our first grandchild, a boy, Oliver, born on the 4th of July, 2007. Allison (husband Kelly) is the mother of two of our grandkids, Rachel (June, 2010) and Waylon (September, 2011). Jessica and her husband Chad had their first child (girl, Claire) June, 2012 and their second child (boy, Shane) October, 2014. I retired near the end of March, 2013 and am now at our California home full time, although I still do some limited amount of consulting, which I am trying to minimize.

School Story:

I recall going to basketball games in the winter, both home and away, then cruising - it was a good time. The games I remember were always at times when we had to slog through deep snow to get to the games.

Denise, I had not been on this site for our class for several months. When I logged on today I saw that you had joined. Glad to see you joined and are now enjoying retirement and grandkids. I'm doing the same.

Dave - Happy Birthday (a day late)! We're part of the early March Birthday Club, I recall our mothers saying they remember they were in Southwest General together when they had us, along with Dale Lubinski's mother and I think one other person from our school days in Berea. I hope you time in California is going well. Don
