Phyllis,

How are you and your family? I watched KHOU on DirecTV during the storm and some of the destruction is unbelievable......We are all praying and have prayed that you and your family have been spared any significant damage.......

All of us involved in this show are looking forward to chatting with this Olympian.

Here is a statement on the condition of Friendswood....accessed it off of www.khou.com

FRIENDSWOOD, Texas--Emergency officials in Friendswood on Sunday encouraged all citizens to seek accommodations elsewhere.
That includes residents who rode out the storm in their homes and those who have returned to inspect property.

The City of Friendswood will notify residents when it is safe to return.
Officials said electric power will be out indefinitely and there is no local fuel or food supply.
All Clear Creek ISD and Friendswood ISD schools will be closed until further notice.
Emergency responders were conducting damage assessments Sunday.
Mayor Smith extended the dusk-to-dawn curfew for the city until utility companies are able to provide safe and effective services.
Officials said proper ID will be required to travel within the city during the extended curfew.
Officials said there was no widespread flooding in Friendswood, and the water supply is safe.
For additional information, contact the Office of Emergency Management at 281-996-3335 or eoc@ci.friendswood.tx.us.

Hey Tom, Hope you had a great birthday! Also, glad Debbie signed on to the site.

Where has everyone been? There hasn't been any comments on the website for several days. In this area, the fall harvest is just starting.

Where have we been? Just livin' life, probably. As for me, last weekend I was on a team for a Christian event called Walk to Emmaus. Awesome Experience! If any of you are asked if you want to go - prayerfully consider it. You Will Be Blessed!

I hear Freelandville is having a fall festival on Saturday October 4. Does anyone know the schedule of activities? What time is the pancake breakfast? Jeff and I will probably be there part of the day. Hope to see y'all!

I heard from my mother, who goes to the same church in Westphalia as Tim McCallum, that he recently had a heart attack and is home doing well. I hope that is true and wish him the best.

Steve, I listened to some of your radio show last night. You do a good job. Who is the other NK grad with you and what year was he?

Tom Held

I also listened to a few minutes of the show last night. Good job. Very professional.

Wish I could go to the Linton/ North Knox "Battle Of The Unbeatens" tonight, but I have to be at work extremely early on Saturday morning. Will listen to a bit of the game on radio this evening and get the "full report" from the grandkids tomorrow. They went to the game tonight.

Richard, Tom,

Thank you for the kind words......what amazes me is the fact that we have had this Hoosier Preps Excel show on now 5 weeks and it has been #1 every week in the ratings.......I was at the Warren Central-Carmel game tonight and when you have people coming up introducing themselves to you and tell you they listen to you and what a good show you have that is quite humbling.......also with the Friday night High School Football show being #1 for 4 years now....is beyond beyond.......
The person that comes on with me is Jeff Robison. He is the son of Joe Robison. He writes my magazines and is what makes us the number 1 high school magazine. His knowledge is second to none and I am glad he is with us.

I saw Linda Waldroup Saturday night celebrating her 56th birthday at a restaurant in Vincennes. She really looks young for 56 but I think part of it can be attributed to her sitting beside Brenda DeWeese!!!

OOOOH!!!! Dan, you must be looking for a fight from Brenda. Brenda, I am waiting for your response. Happy Birthday to Linda.

Happy Birthday Kathy, Hope you have a good day. This is a big holiday in Taiwan called Double 10 day when they celebrate their military I believe. I was their 30 years ago on this day and remember there being a big parade. I believe it is all about going back to mainland China someday. Anyway, have a good day.

A little late for some but - HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ALL WITH OCTOBER BIRTHDAYS! (including those who are reading this but haven't yet signed on...)

Rich - you have had some great experiences! Share some more, please.

So, Kathy, isn't it nice of Taiwan to celebrate your birthday with Double 10 Day!

Hey Kathy... Hope you had a great birthday, had problem logging on yesterday.

If you see Patty Grabbe Crist wish her a happy birthday Oct. 13. Still trying to get her to join in.

Kathy Watson

Hey everybody! Thanks to all of you for the B-day wishes....I'm sorry I'm so late getting back to you. Mom had surgery last week and was discharged on Thursday evening...I spent Friday through Monday with her...I had several phone calls from friends saying they must have missed me because I was out partying...hmmm, not so much...but I do enjoy spending time on the SC farm....thanks Rich, for the info about my special date in Taiwan...I was supposed to go watch Mario's football team that he helps coach, but did't make that either...but there will always be more football games. Mom's doing well...she is a tough lady. She didn't even have her pain meds filled, much to her dr.'s dismay...I should be so tough...

Brenda Sue Holmes (Deweese)

Okay, Danny. You are in trouble now! I haven't been on the website for a few days and I see that I was slammed by an "OLD Fairy." Did you see us before Linda and Stan put on the hats or after? Oh, yes, it would have been before because you had to get home and go to bed... old people like you need much more rest than us young chicks, right?

10/16/08 08:38 PM #324

Dan Roark

Dear Brenda Sue - since you hadn't replied I was beginning to worry that you were really mad at me.
