As I have said before, if you want to see a classmate from the past, just go to Cabello's in Bicknell to eat.  I was there last night and saw both Lu Miller and Mike DeCoursey.  Enjoyed seeing both of them.  Charles Campbell from the Class of 71 has some great pictures from their reunion on Facebook.  He had a picture of Mr. Walker who attended the reunion.  He looked about like he always did, just a different color of hair.  I drove by our old high school last night.  It still seems strange to see the building empty and remember all the experiences we had at our high school.

Welcome Lonnie!

Haven't been on in a few so thought I would post.

My grandson, who is 8 now is playing football now. Some of the pictures are priceless.

I have been working on MyIndyTV Channel 23 doing sideline work and bridge work in between games at Lucas Oil. Last weekend had the good fortune to add my expert knowledge, hey that's what they call it, to the Peyback Classic. That is Peyton Mannings games.

This coming Friday, September 2, I am moving into the booth and will be doing color as WISHTV's Chris Widlic does play by play for the Fishers, defending big school (5A) champions as they travel to Westfield.

If you are in coverage area please watch if you have a chance. It is on MyIndyTV Channel 23.

To all the September birthdays may each of you have a blessed birthday.

Richard great news on your dad. I am headed down to my mom's today.

Thanks to Mrs. Mallory for all the great pictures of good times of our Freelandville history!  Don't know why the girls were pretending to be cheerleaders....maybe because we wanted to!!  Oh to be young again!!!

Lu Miller and Dannie Roark:

Richard and I spent some time on the phone with each other yesterday.

We would like to know if you would head up the reunion efforts?

We thought if you just picked a day next summer and started with that we might be able to get a reunion done. If many of our former school mates couldn't make it, it would be easier to schedule a better day for it.

What are your thoughts on doing this?

Steve - what a coincidence - Lu and I were also talking on the phone and thinking you and Dick might be interested !!!!

PS - although if you could guarantee me 2 "good" IU/KY  basketball tickets at Bloomington this year I might consider it !!!!

Steve Stremming

That was a good one Dannie!

 I deserved it.

I will ask JD want he could do for me about the IU/UK tickets.

Luellen Byrer (Miller)

Danny - good answer!  You know, we could just pick a date as they asked.  No prob!  Seriously, I emailed a couple of people awhile back about this, one responded favorably, the other hasn't gotten back to me.

Rich - it was great to finally see you in person!  And good to see your dad & mom out and about.

Happy Birthday to everyone who shares the great month of August!

Lu,

Look at the calendar and pull out a date and let's see how it flys?

Also, where could we have this at?

Any ideas are welcome. We might as well have one reunion before we pass out of this life.

Thanks!

Was nice to see the Freelandville group looking a lot younger...   Had forgotten about the "cheerleader" picture, sure brought back a few memories.....

The pictures of the 1969 class also was nice to see since my sister was in that class. Still trying to figure out a few of the boys....

Happy Birthday Kent!

When I was down at my moms Sunday drove through Westphalia. Boy has that place changed since we were kids.

Well, I guess every small town has though.

I must apoligize.......I have mentioned a couple times that I have a VHS tape of the Corvettes from 1985 that I am going to convert to DVD and post here.  I got it out and was ready to convert it but.........it is amazing what 25+ years will do to a VHS tape ! It was in terrible condition....very dark and I had forgotten how bad the crowd/ background noise was.  I am no expert on these things, but am told it can be restored to near perfect condition and the background noise editted out............I am currently investigating this and am hoping it can be "saved from certain death".

BTW Dick, in the Freelandville pics from '62, I believe that is Marvin Skomp (sp?). I think he moved to Plainville (?)
