Received on January 12
Dear Friends and Family,
It's with a heavy heart that I have to share the news about David, my father.
He passed on Saturday the 9th, comfortable and surrounded by family.
We will be holding a service for him tomorrow, Tuesday the 13th at 1pm, local time.
The service will be held at Temple Beth Shalom Cemetery in Sarasota. Should you be
able to join, all are welcome.
As an alternative and for those not able to attend in person, we will also have a Zoom session.
Please view details below for the service and the Zoom call.
Please forward this email to anyone who may like to know, as I may have missed a few names.
Thank you,
Bryan

I remember the good times David and I had during the South Avondale days. amd then at Woodward. One time when we were very young he actually tried to teach me to play his clarinet, but it didn't take. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends.

Who didn't like David! He was a special member of our class that unfortumately is getting smaller every day. I remember him fondly from our days at Woodward.

There are many fond memories of Dave and want to share two that happened since highschool. Dave was a remarkably talented musician and teacher. Dave derived great satisfaction in giving others pleasure through his musical gift. When several of us visited Dave and Itzel in Sarasota a number of years ago I was overjoyed to be invited to a big-band rehearsal that Dave was a part of. What a thrill to be a few feet away from the reed section where Dave performed along with his musical soul mates!
Many don't know that Dave was also a prolific painter and excellent artist. There was always a message in each painting that really added meaning...often with subtle humor. I purchased several over the years.
Dave's humanity combined with his great talent gave joy to many and will always be remembered.
We will miss you Dave!
