Hello Mel. What a shock this was to find out. I also lived on Roxbury Road down at the end in the cul de sac. I knew the Cruz's probably from the minute I moved in the neighborhood in 1962. Remember the Rose's and the Biglay's too.

Do you know what happened? That is so sad and also to look down the list at our fellow Argos who have passed.

He along with all our other fellow Argos will always live on in our hearts. May he rest in the arms of our Savior.

Ronnie is gone!? I can't hardly believe it. We were pretty good friends. I lived on Comstock right near him and we played together and as we entered high school stayed friends always. He was a funny, entertaining guy who always was getting me in trouble (lol). My heart goes out to those he left behind. Warmest reagards, Michelle Mize

Ron,

I am sorry to learn of your death, we were so close for so so many years. We went through Jr as well as High School together, only to wind up at MCRD together, I remember like it was yesterday ,my friend. I was able to e mail Johnny, he told me the news. I have such warm memories of the good ole days, you, my mom, and my family. Prior to my fathers death, he would always ask me how's Ronnie, I could not answer as we went our seperate ways after the Marine Corp. I ended up on the streets for many years, however, I have been able to rehabilitate myself to a normal healthy lifestyle, I am gainfully employed and have been at the same job for many years. Ron, our 40th reunion is coming up and I am planning on attending, I will see lots of our old friends and I am sure you would wish them well, just like you always did. I will never forget the time you talked me into taking my mothers car for a joy ride, we got in so much trouble, and the days of just hangin out, Pronto Market, the Dances where you taught me how to get over being "Shy". Those Ron, were the days that will never leave my memory.

Thanks Ron for being my friend for so so many years, and thanks to your family being there for me when my own parents were not.

May you rest in peace. God Bless You.

Tim

I am really sadden to hear about Ron's death. We grew up together on Roxbury Road. So many memories together with him and his family. There was never a dull moment with Ronnie. Seems like we played street football almost every day after school and no matter what was up on Roxbury he was always there providing the entertainment.

Will miss him, Clay

When we hear of others our own age that have died - selfishly I think of my own mortality. I had spent the night at Debbie Porter's house (across the street from Ron). He came over the next morning and we went to the Pronto Market. We then went and "chased rabbits" in the field at Izaak Walton in my car. He screamed the whole time "go, go, go".  Life is great...

See ya there..
