Favorite High School Memory:
Mr Valdez being shocked by my "Famous Nudes" book.
Story: I had a trick book that would send a shocking electrical pulse through your hands and arms if you opened it. The title of the book was: "Famous Nudes".
I had my "Famous Nude " book sitting on my desk one day in Mr. Valdez' Spanish class. In passing by my desk, he noticed the title of the book, took it in his hands and, in a stern and scolding tone, he admonished me with "Oh, Pepé (my given Spanish name for the class), this is very bad". He proceeded to the back of the class room and, with a loud "thump", dropped my book in the waste basket located next to his desk.
I planned to approach him after class and reclaim my book. I figured that, once I let him see it was really an innocent trick book, he would return it to me.
He quickly gave us an assignment and procceeded back to his desk. We were all busy doing our class work when, suddenly, I heard the distinctive "Boingggg" sound that would be made when the spring mechanism was activated anytime the trick book was open. This "Boinggg" sound was followed, almost immediately, by a loud "Ayyyy" scream from Mr. Valdez. While we were busy doing our class work, Mr. Valdez had dug the trick book out of the trash can and had shocked himself while opening it. The look on his face was hilarious!
