William Robert Martin

April 2, 1962 - January 21, 2020

On January 21,2020, William Robert (Bob) Martin loving husband and father passed away at the age of 57 years old. Robert (Bob) was born to Dave and Naidene Martin in Ponca City, Oklahoma on April 2, 1962 and lived in the cities of Corpus Christi, Houston, Plano and McKinney, Texas. He received his bachelor’s in computer sciences and MBA from Texas Tech. Bob spent 16 years with EDS and TSA at Department of Homeland Security 14 years. He retired from the Transportation Security Administration. Bob struggled with Parkinson’s disease for 6 years.

He is survived by his wife, Susan Martin, daughter, Audrey Martin, Bob’s sister, Mary Skees and husband, Patrick; half-brother, Marty Siemsen; half-sister, BettyAnn Wilkins and husband, Jim, Bob’s brother-in-law, Jim Norton and wife, Sue; nieces and nephews, Patrick Skees Jr. and wife, Erin, Jeanette Barnes and husband, Brent, David Skees and wife, Elyce, Paul Skees, Marianne Hussle and husband, Mike, Peter Skees and wife, Shiane, Kari DeWitt and husband, Roy, Kevin Martin and wife, Brooke, Jim Norton and wife, Stephanie, John Norton and Joe Norton.

A Funeral Mass for Robert Martin will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 31, 2020 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church Chapel, 8000 Eldorado Parkway, Frisco, Texas 75033 with reception following in the Parish Hall. The Chapel will be open for visitation at 10:30 a.m. before the service.

Memorial contributions may be made in Bob’s honor to Dallas Area Parkinsonism Society.
