I had Mrs. Phillips for English either soph or jr year --she was the nicest lady and I really enjoyed her class. My trouble was always that I was too concise and never could fill up more than 1/2 page on an essay. She kept trying to get me to expand and expound ad nauseum. Once she gave me an "A" because she felt that brevity was also a virtue and should be acknowledged as such.
