Michael Alan Bee passed away at the age of 71 in Houston, Texas on August 20, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.
Michael was born January 23, 1953 in Midland, Texas to Dan and Carolyn Bee. From a young age, he developed a love of connecting with others across the world through amateur radio, robotics, and technology. He grew up in Longview, Texas, Tulsa, Oklahoma, then Houston, Texas, graduating from Westchester High School in 1971.
After receiving a degree in Industrial Engineering from Texas Tech University, he was a leader of international business with companies such as Hunton Trane. Before calling Texas home again for the last 25 years of his life, his work moved his family in a circle around the country including LaCrosse, Wisconsin, Holland, Michigan, Fort Smith, Arkansas, and more. Passionate about helping others through engineering, he worked on complex energy systems for universities and major hospitals in southeast Texas, including getting many schools up and running again after Hurricane Ike.
Michael Alan Bee was preceded in death by his parents, Dan and Carolyn Bee.
He is survived and immensely loved by his wife of 43 years, Patty Bee; his daughter Victoria Marie Bee; his son Marcus Alan Bee; his sister Katherine Peveto (WHS 1973); and his extended family and friends that he loved dearly.
His key is silent now, but he will not be forgotten. Michael was kind and had numerous stories from his many adventures that he told with a signature quick wit. He will be greatly missed by all who were lucky to know him.
A memorial service will be held at ten o'clock in the morning on Saturday, October 12th, 2024 at the Texas Liberty Mausoleum and Robert L. Waltrip Memorial Chapel of Memorial Oaks, located at 13001 Katy Freeway, Houston, Texas 77079.

Though Michael Alan may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Michael Alan touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Carolyn Bee and Dan Bee. He is survived by: his wife Patty Bee.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 12th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Memorial Oaks Funeral Home & Cemetery (13001 Katy Fwy, Houston, TX 77079).
