Linda Kraft Randolph was born on May 13, 1956, in Wichita Falls, TX. She entered into rest on December 1, 2024, in Cypress, TX at the age of 68, following a prolonged battle with Primary Lateral Sclerosis. The Kraft family relocated to Norwalk, CT for several years before moving to Houston when Linda was 11. She graduated from Westchester High School in 1974 and attended UTMB in Galveston, TX where she received her Bachelor Degree in Occupational Therapy degree from UTMB in Galveston. Linda spent the next 38 years working as an Occupational Therapist, caring for hundreds of families along the way.
While attending high school, Linda was lucky enough to meet her future husband, David, on a beach in Freeport, TX in 1972. They went on to be high school sweethearts and dated for almost 8 years before marrying on June 7, 1980. Linda and David excitedly expanded their family when they welcomed their daughters Lauren and Lindsay. They shared 44 beautiful years of marriage together and took on all of life’s challenges as an unbreakable pair.
While family was always Linda’s first love, her second was Weimaraner's. Jason, Linda’s first Weimaraner, instilled in Linda a love for the breed which led her to spend the rest of her life caring for and loving these special animals. Eventually she came into contact with the Weimaraner Rescue of Texas, and through the organization, spent many years fostering countless rescues while helping them to find lasting and loving homes.
Linda had a variety of hobbies. She loved to peruse antique stores, Round Top, auctions, and eBay for one of a kind furniture and accessories. Linda also loved to garden, and her flowers were her sanctuary. She would often spend countless hours tending to every square inch of her flower beds with her dogs by her side. She especially enjoyed watching the creatures that called the garden home, specifically the hummingbirds and butterflies.
Arguably though, Linda’s biggest passion and accomplishment in her life was raising her daughters, and eventually getting the honor of being called grandma. As Grandma, she was known to spoil her grandkids with gifts and candy, which earned her the special nickname, “Candy Grandma”. The countless laughs and unending love she showed her grandkids will never be forgotten.
Linda was preceded in death by her mother, Joyce Conkle Kraft, and father, Robert Thomas Kraft.
Left to cherish her memories are her brother Tom Kraft and his wife Cindy, brother Steve Kraft and his wife Andrea, and sister Laura Conway. She also leaves behind daughter Lauren Caruthers and her husband Clayton, daughter Lindsay Bowen and her husband Mike, as well as three highly adored grandchildren, Landyn Bowen, Michaela Caruthers, and Caleb Caruthers, along with a multitude of nieces and nephews.
While we are deeply saddened by Linda’s passing, we are happy to know that she is finally free in her eternal home, reconnecting with loved ones and loving on all her fury friends once again. She was the rock and stronghold for her family and will be waiting with open arms when it’s time to meet again.
A memorial service to honor Linda’s legacy will be held on January 11, 2025, at 11am at Cypress-Fairbanks Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made on Linda’s behalf to the Weimaraner Rescue of Texas or to the Spastic Paraplegia Foundation.
“Heaven is where you meet all the dogs you ever loved.”
