Patrice "Patty" Jean Johnson (Adair) (1976)

Dave became a closer friend of mine after high school; I particularly remember a night at the Draught House in Austin, in 1978, when he told a group of us that he had enlisted in the Marine Corps.

In the mid-80s, I was living in Charleston, SC, and he was at Camp LeJeune, in Jacksonville, NC.  We shared a few visits; he came to Charleston for Thanksgiving one year.

Anyway, while I believe ANY service in the U.S. military is extremely honorable, I would like to correct the posting from the
Austin American-Statesman.  Dave was retired from the United States Marine Corps.  Semper Fi.
