Crythis Kathryn "Kathy" Grice

December 22, 1950 - June 26, 2014

 

Crythis Kathryn Grice, age 63, died on June 26, 2014. Services were held Sunday, June 29, in Natchez, MS. Crythis ('Kathy') was born in Magnolia, AR on December 22, 1950. She graduated from Memorial High School, and attended LSU, where she was a Golden Girl and a member of Kappa Alpha Theta sorority. She pursued the study of history and French, and received a BA in Liberal Arts. After teaching 5th grade for a period of time, Crythis went on to become a highly successful real estate broker in Atlanta, GA.

Crythis lived a purpose-filled life with grace, dignity, and delight. She shared her joy unselfishly with all she encountered. She loved ballroom dancing and music, and excelled as a violist. She was a steadfast patron of the arts.

Her many lifelong friends are a testament to her dedication and unfailing love. They include Ellen Alexander Stein, Linda Carswell Anderson, Cathy Castleman Green, Gracella Simmons, and her special angel, Hiram Burkes.

She is survived by her mother, Mary Jean Sanders; her son, Austin Bristow; her sisters, Alyson Grice Bequette and Jennifer Grice Dixon; and brother, Charles Grice. She leaves two grandchildren, Webb and Kathryn Bristow, along with numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her father, Charles Fitzhugh Grice.

Brenda Spurlock (Edmonds Arnold) (1971)

Kathy's was a life cut way too short, but she obviously lived it to the fullest.  

With sincere condolences to the Grice family, whom my family has known since we lived in Tyler,
