Patsy was a beautiful, funny, talented young woman. I still think of her often. I remember when she went off to a prestigious music school. Everyone was so proud of her.
Patsy passed away in 1975. She had a congenital heart defect that showed up her sophomore year at TCU, where we were roommates. She had transferred to TCU after a year at the Music Conservatory in San Francisco. I was devastated when she died. She was a beautiful young woman, a very talented flutist, and a wonderful friend. Years after her death, when something significant happened in my life, I would think, "I need to tell Patsy that!" Then I had to remember that she was gone. I still miss her, all these years later. I was so blessed to know her.
