James played tennis at Westchester and excelled academically. After earning a BBA at Trinity University, he worked as a CPA with large accounting firms in San Antonio and Houston. He had been admitted to Harvard's MBA program and was planning to attend in the fall when he was killed at age 24. He still is missed.

Dear All,

I have been thinking a bit about my years at Westchester recently as 2021 will mark 50 years since my graduation from that High School.

One of my great Memories was that of James Read. He was an outstanding Human being!

I knew him best through the youth program at Memorial Drive Presbyterian Church.

He, due to his inteligence, maturity beyond his years and lighting fast wit, was the STAR of that group.

His tragic death was a huge loss to all that had the opportunity, to know him!!!

RIP James
