Victoria Lynn “Vicki” Castro Stroman

Victoria Lynn Castro Stroman was born March 14, 1957 and went to join her heavenly father on March 17, 2015. She was the oldest of three children born to Leonard and Dee Castro. Her childhood was spent in Venezuela and England before returning to Houston where she graduated from Westchester High School in 1975. She was an avid Longhorn, graduating from the University of Texas with a degree in Accounting in 1978. She married John Stroman on October 25, 1986 and they were the proud parents of three beautiful daughters, Rachel, Sarah, and Hannah.
Vicki enjoyed hosting holiday gatherings for her extended family, ski vacations in Colorado and beach vacations in Florida each year. She loved and was loved by her family. Her husband John, daughters Rachel Stroman, Sarah Stroman Estrada and Hannah Stroman Norman with husband Louis Norman and her mother, Dee Castro will miss her dearly, as she is reunited with her father, Leonard.
She was Nana to her grandchildren, Hunter Stroman and Veronica Estrada, who were so dear to her heart. She was a loving sister to her brother Chip (Leonard, Jr.), and his children Chelsea and Joshua, and her sister Susan and brother-in-law Tim Moore, and their children Sophia, Samuel, JohnPaul and Therese. She was also loved by her extended Stroman family which includes her father-in-law Larry Stroman, Beverly and Randy Sones, Mike and Bonnie Stroman and Steve and Rachel Stroman.
Visitation will be at Memorial Oaks, 13001 Katy Freeway, from 6 – 8 p.m. on Thursday, March 19th. Funeral mass will be conducted on Friday, March 20th at 10:00 a.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 6800 Buffalo Speedway, with a reception to follow at the church. Private family burial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mental Health America of Greater Houston, 2211 Norfolk, Suite 810, Houston, TX 77098.
