Needless to say, I'm so sad that my lifelong friend, Cynthia, is gone.  We were friends for 46 years!  We both moved to Houston just before 1st grade and then had Jimmie Lou Clark as our 1st grade teacher.  I don't think I have a memory of life between 1st grade and 12th that doesn't include Cynthia.  She was an incredibly smart person with an equally great personality.  Cynthia has a lovely family - a great husband, David, and two talented daughters, Lindsay and Kelly.  We will all miss her!

Laura and family,

I was shocked and saddened to hear of the passing of Cynthia.  Of course, my memories of her are as a little 10 or 11 year old girl agitating her big sister.  Looking at her picture, she really resembled your mom.  My sympathy and best wishes go out to all of you.

I am sorry to read of the loss of Cynthia.  I remember many  good girl scout camp out weekends, especially at Casa Mara.  Peace be with her family.  Cynthia Cagle Hawkins
