Junior Prom ~ April 1976  Peter  Lawrence & Lauri White double-dated with Mike Wells & Suzanne Bell.  Rode in a limo and ate at Vargo's.  Peter was a truly genuine, generous, tender hearted young man.

It brings great sadness to know Peter's smile is not with us any longer. I loved singing in the Chorale st Westchester with Peter for 4 years. He was always kind and fun and made choir a great place to be. Thank you Peter, for making Westchester a wonderful community.

It’s impossible to think of Peter and not remember his smile. It seemed to always be with him and was as natural as sunlight. We’ll miss him.

Hate to see him go.

I remember when Pete worked at Burger King and always gave PJ and I free burgers.

This was very sad to hear. I was in Choir with Peter 3 of four years if I recall correctly. What I seem to remember is that Peter ran with no 'clique'. He was loved by ALL. I never remember him being part of anything petty or selfish. He was simply golden to all. I cant say that about myself. He always carried around that charming demeanor and what should have been a famous smile that was seemingly a part of his skin. Im sure he will be sadly missed by many. God bless him. Im sure there are not too many smilers in Heaven.

Peter & I made "goo-goo" eyes at one another from across the room in Mrs. Robertson's English class. We dated the Spring of 1976 and attended the junior prom. Next to the photo in my album I wrote that we had doubled with Mike Wells & Suzanne Bell. That Peter gave me a 6 rose wristlett. We took a limo and the driver's name was "Rick". We ate at Vargo's. Peter was always kind, always a gentleman, never spoke ill of his family or others; he was generous, funny. These are all attributes that I would come to appreciate more as an adult than as a teenage girl. It's funny how a nearly-50 year old woman could flash back to her youth with a flood of memories in an instant when she loses a friend... Peter took me on dates in their family car. I think it was a white Mustang? He wanted me to learn how to drive a stick in the worst way... RIGHT NOW...and he pulled me onto the driver's seat while the car was still in motion...and BAM! We rolled thru a stop sign and hit another car. I got hurt, not too bad... But at the hospital, my dad had a sixth sense and in a stern voice, asked Peter who was driving. I KNEW I was busted not having a license yet. Peter took full responsibility. He also paid to get the family car fixed. What a great guy. I have been in contact with someone he worked alongside in Arlington and who was close to him in recent months...and guess what? Peter never changed. He was STILL the same guy ~ kind, generous, sweet. He didn't come to a reunion beyond our 10th although I talked with him thru the years to get address updates. Sure wish he would have. I would have given him a big hug and extended my belated gratitude for his friendship when we were young. God bless you, Peter! You will be dearly missed by all your friends.

My brother, Peter, was a gentle soul who loved his memories of WHS.  I still have his choir jacket, which has cherished patches from contests and trips.  Thanks to all who remember and loved him.

So sorry to hear of your brother's passing, Kate.  He was a very sweet boy.  I last saw him in Austin when he was working as a chef for one of the big hotels.  I will say a prayer for him and his family.

Love, Peggy Jamieson
