I hope to attend.  Our oldest daughter is celebrating Taylor HS commencement exercises on Sunday and we have many out of town relatives/guests that will be visiting over the weekend.  If I cannot make the service then I will be there in spirit and will look forward to seeing everyone at the next reunion where we can all share our respective stories/experiences regarding Mike.

Mike was one of the centerpieces of the music department at Memorial Junior High.  Since I can't sing, I take everyone's word that he was central to your experiences in the Choir at WHS as well--no surprise.  His positive, fun-loving way always lit up a room, or a production.  And quite a production it will be when the Wildcats meet up again in the great beyond.  Condolences to Mike's close and extended family.--Peter Hanlon

That is a beautiful post you shared....I got tears in my eyes reading it. I will never forget the "glory days" of Chorale with both "Mikes" and all the wonderful people, songs and memories we made.

Michael was a beautiful soul and I can't believe he has left us so young. I am praying for his mother's comfort, losing both sons so close together is a pain I can't imagine.

Thanks to all of you for your loving memories of Mike. I am so sorry I wasn't able to be at his Memorial Service.

It is with great sorrow that I am posting this, my rememberences of Mike.  My last contact with Mike was a couple of years ago through FB and he was a golf pro. He went off the grid for a bit.

Mike was a real sweetheart. We dated a bit our sr. year. I remember that big red convertible, looking back, seemed like a boat! We jammed to Stevie Wonder hits, 'I Wish' and 'Sir Duke'. He sang I, howled!  But, just the same it was a memory I will never forget.  I remember meeting his wonderful parents, and his mom's love of Coca-Cola Memoribilia.  I called it the Coca-Cola House.

He was a true gentleman, sweet, and a beautiful person. I will miss you Mike. 

My deepest sympathies to Mike's family, I know they are in appsolute shock, he was an amazing person, so proud of his golf career. (My grandad was a golf pro too).

Sending love to his family and close friends, my friend will be truly missed by us all. Until we meet again...Sara

I attended Mikes memorial service and felt the need to share with the rest of the class.  Mike was close to the lord in his final days and apperently he was the piano player in the church band on Sundays. At one point  during the service I counted 9 members on stage that Mike played with on Sundays.  The preacher knew Mike very well and talked about his ability to play music by ear and his love of golf.  Funny, I meet Mike thru tennis and he became a professional golfer. The service was nice and quite personalble. I stayed after the service to re-introduce myself to Mikes mom and give my condolences to her and his 3 children.  Mikes son looked just like I remembered Mike looking and his 2 daughters  were both tall and pretty(go figure).  As of the day of the service the cause of Mike death was unknown.  Mike was a class act and I know he will be missed by all that knew him.
