Peter was a close friend of mine for nearly 25 years. He was a brilliant, funny, ambitious and passionate person. We shared many moments of laughter together. In some ways, Peter left us long before he died, but he has left us with memories and life lessons that will help me and others for many years to come. Thank you, Peter.
Peter and I met in the 10th grade in home-ec class. when discussing what we knew how to cook, i commented that i could scramble eggs, and he retorted with a laugh and a 'you're kidding, right' .. LOL We were pals thru h.s. and kind of as a last minute gag, i asked him to the prom. we went for about 30 minutes then he took me down to montrose for a really wild time, the details of which i won't get into ;P
i got back in touch with him in my mid 20's and then again in my late 30's, we got together and had dinner. have not spoken to him since that.
It was difficult finding out about his death just by chance, having googled him on the internet. it was even harder spending a whole day to determine if it was indeed 'our Peter'. but i'm glad i did it so that i can let his friends know and we may honor him on sites such as this one. I'd like to remember Peter as a funny, easy-going guy with a great sense of humor and very, very smart. he was a national merit scholar. I miss him very much and wish i could talk to him right now.. What a brilliant mind and keen sense of humor Peter had in his lifetime. His laugh was infectious and you couldn't withhold your laughter even if you had no idea of what was funny or his perception of the situation at the moment. A sad loss and tragedy for those of us who had the fortune to get to know him.
