Stewart Kep Webb - Class Of 1978

Stewart Kep Webb

March 31, 1960 - August 6, 2024

Kep Webb, 64, of Houston, Texas, went to be with our Lord and Savior on August 6, 2024 at his home with his loving wife by his side. Kep was born in Houston, Texas on March 31, 1960. He was dedicated to his family, friends, and his country. He was also known by many for his quick and clever sense of humor.

Kep was preceded in death by his parents, Tom D. and Virginia L. Webb; and brothers, Steven and Stanley Webb.

He is survived by the love of his life, Debi Webb. He also leaves behind a sister, Rebecca de la Fuente of Katy, Texas, many family members, and friends that loved him dearly.

Soon after graduating from Westchester High School in 1978, Kep discovered an interest in horses that for the next several years found him working with many horse trainers and to various horse racetracks throughout the United States. It was while working at a racetrack in Omaha, Nebraska, that Kep met and fell in love with the girl that he would spend the rest of his life with. Kep and Debi were united in marriage on July 7, 1990.

For the next several years, Kep worked as a journeyman electrician. Later, they moved from Montgomery, Texas to Houston, where Kep began working in the transportation industry. Starting with a small pickup truck, he worked his way into hauling oil-well equipment. Then Kep set his eyes on the horizon and began to drive 18 wheelers for various trucking companies in the Houston area.

In his spare time, Kep enjoyed being outdoors. His love of hunting and fishing allowed him plenty of time to share stories about his “biggest catch”. Kep enjoyed spending time with his family, which included an assortment of four-legged pets. Animals could sense his gentle nature and trusted and adored him. Most of all, Kep treasured the quality time he spent with Debi making memories while trucking across the country, fishing, taking cruises, and many other adventures. Kep will be deeply missed and those who knew him will carry his memory in their hearts forever.

The graveside service was held on August 16, 2024 at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home & Cemetery beginning at 10:00 AM.
