SHERRY MORGAN BROWN, born January 18, 1965. Died May 21, 2008 after a courageous struggle with Breast Cancer.
She is survived by her husband Alan Brown and three daughters, Laurel, Chase and Sydney. Parents Betty & Wade Morgan, sisters Sue Turner, Karen Attaway & husband Dan and many beloved members of her family, extended family and friends.
Sherry was a teacher at Holy Spirit Episcopal School. Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Spirit Episcopal School, 12535 Perthshire Rd., Houston, TX 77024.
Services will be Friday, May 23, 2008 2 p.m., Holy Spirit Episcopal Church 12535 Perthshire Rd, Houston, TX. Arrangements, George Lewis Funeral Home, Bering Drive, Houston,Texas.

Sherry was born in Richmond, Texas in 1965 and lived in that community for the first two years of her life. She moved with her parents and two older sisters to Houston, Texas, in August of 1967. She attended Wilchester Elementary, Westchester Junior High and Westchester High School in the Spring Branch Independent School District. During her school years, she participated in Brownies and the Spring Branch-Memorial Sports Association’s Girls Softball program. She also gave gymnastics a try until a fractured coccyx ended those aspirations. While in high school, Sherry played flute in the Westchester band and made many friends with her contagious smile. She graduated from Westchester High School in 1983. Sherry went to Texas A&M University and pursued a double major in English and History. She graduated from Texas A&M University in 1988. She became an English teacher at Kempner High School in the Fort Bend Independent School District and taught at that school for five years. She also obtained a Master of Education in English from Houston Baptist University. She married Alan Harrison Brown in 1994. Sherry and Alan lived in Houston, Texas for a short time before moving to Manor, Texas. Sherry worked for Holt as an editor of textbooks in Austin, Texas. Later, Sherry and Alan returned to Houston, where Sherry held positions as wife and mother of three daughters, church secretary and private school teacher.

Sherry died of Breast Cancer May 2008. She leaves her husband and three children. Sherry was in the Westchester marching band and played flute.
