Kay Ann Wolan 57, of Houston passed away on October 10, 2021. Kay was born February 5, 1964, in Richmond, VA to Arthur and Betty Wolan. She is preceded in death by her parents and sister Joanne Eubank. She is survived by her sister Betsy Braly and husband Joel, sister Amy Stolarski and husband Jim, and brother Andrew Wolan and wife Pam. She is survived by nieces and nephews Thomas Braly and wife Tina, Virginia Braly and husband Scott Meier, Allison Braly, Lacey Lutz and husband Justin, Lindsey Moore and husband Adam, Drew Wolan and wife Morgan, Meagan Stolarski, Steven Stolarski, Scott Eubank, Elizabeth Eubank and George Eubank. She is also survived by several great nieces and nephews.
Kay grew up in Houston and graduated from Westchester High School with Class of 1983. She spent many years working at Prudential Gary Greene Real Estate.
Kay loved her family and her friends. She enjoyed going out - to eat, to the movies, to art shows, to musicals, and to other cultural events. She was a huge Astros and Texans fan as well as the Texas A&M football team. She loved watching the Aggie band. She spent time every day keeping up with her family and friends via phone, text, and social media. She was the center of our family and kept everyone informed as to what was going on with everyone else. Kay was a kind, caring and loving person. Although she dealt with medical issues and challenges her entire life, she was extremely tough and resilient. In spite of her challenges, she maintained a positive outlook on life and was always looking forward to the next outing with friends. She will be greatly missed by all.
A Vigil service for Kay will be held Saturday October 16, 2021, at 12:00 PM at Dettling Funeral Home, 14094 Memorial Drive Houston TX, 77079 with reception to follow.
