Christine Chester Harrison

Christine C. Harrison, 50, Bradenton, died Aug. 17, 2003. She was born Feb. 28, 1953, in Pipestone, Minn., and came to Manatee County in 1993 from Pryor, Okla. She was a charter member of the Manatee Sail and Power Squadron. She was a Presbyterian.
Survivors include her husband, Richard T.; her mother, Valerie Chester of Pipestone; her father, Charles Chester of Houston; a daughter, Brenda of Bradenton; sons Richard T. of Arlington, Texas and Charles H. of Water Valley, Miss.; sisters Cathy White of St. Augustine, Nancy Eakin of Longview, Texas, and Carrie Noel of Houston; a brother, Andrew Chester of Veradale, Wash.; and one grandchild.
No visitation is scheduled. A memorial celebration will be at 3 p.m. Sept. 6 at Brown and Sons Funeral Home, 43rd Street Chapel. Memorial donations may be made to the Christine Harrison Memorial Education Fund, c/o Manatee Sail and Power Squadron, 2442 Manatee Ave. E. Bradenton, FL 34208.

I am so sorry to hear about Christy's passing. She was a fun-loving, upbeat person and I have fond memories of her. I remember that she and her twin sister Cathy went running one day and when they got to the end of the sidewalk, each turned and started running in the opposite direction! A few seconds later, they realized what they had done and cracked up laughing. She left a lot of good times and wherever she is, I know she is keeping them smiling.Sincerely,

Christy was one of my life long best friends. I miss her always. We had so many good times together with Cathy, her twin sister, also my best life long friend. We all three shared the same birthday. I will miss Christy for as long as I live.
