Daniel "Dan" Sinkler Bond
August 30, 1958 - April 5, 2025
Daniel Sinkler Bond died on April 5, 2025 in Sand Springs, Oklahoma, at the age of 66. A quiet, intelligent man with an encyclopedic knowledge of technology and music, he enjoyed tinkering with computers and other electronic devices, and riding his bicycle.
The son of Oliver James "Jim" Bond IV and Mary Elizabeth "Liz" Stengel Bond, Daniel was born on August 30, 1958 in Yonkers, New York. The fifth of Jim and Liz's seven children, he was named after his father's maternal grandfather.
After spending his early years in Yonkers, Daniel moved with his family to Houston, Texas in 1967. He graduated from Westchester Senior High School Class of 1976 and attended the University of Texas at Austin for a year before returning to Houston.
Adept at computer coding and software design, Daniel worked as a technician at Houston Lighting & Power for many years and later provided technical and management Information Technology support to businesses of all sizes. He co-owned a townhouse in Bellaire, Texas for several years and later lived at various residences in suburban and downtown Houston. In July 2023, he moved to Sand Springs and was employed by OneOK as a safety and security officer in Tulsa.
Daniel's parents and one of his brothers, Roger Bond, predecease him.
Survivors include his sisters Cynthia Bond, Felicia Bond, and Carolyn Bond Fairless; his brothers Oliver James "Jay" Bond V and Leo Bond; Carolyn's husband, Carter Fairless; Jay's partner, Ilene McGarrigle; his nephews Andrew Bond, Brendan Bond, and Lee Fairless; and his nieces Julia Bond and Elizabeth "Libby" Fairless.
