Hi Suzi,

I'm very sorry about Jeff.  Jeff was always cheerful and laughing.  He was a skinny little guy in high school, but you wouldn't know it to hear him talk.  I have fond memories of Jeff.  Thoughts and prayers to you and Jeff's family.

Mark

Susie, I too am so sorry to hear about Jeff passing. To Marks point Jeff was always smiling. I sure hate to hear this. I live in Texas and would love to reach out to his family. Let them know I wish there was something I could do or say.

Debbie

Update on Sharon Dickenson Marlow:

Sharon had a procedure today to biopsy her lungs. I just got a call from Gilbert. She's out of her procedure. The doctor did mores biopsys. He said he didn't see any changes from the last procedure. This is good news, but won't know anything fore sure until the biospies come back. I will update you when they get those results.

In the meantime, please keep Sharon and Gilbert in your prayers.

Love to all,
Alisa Owens Davis

Ok, just a reminder, get together 2:00 Sunday afternoon, the 21st at Baumhowers just off Airport Rd.

Not that it's totally necessary, but for head count purposes, if you could shoot me a text (256)303 7598, or an email (jrctide@charter.net), it might make it a little easier to get a count pretty close to what we'll have- But, don't base coming or not coming on whether or not you get in touch, it'd be great to see you either way, so hopefully, we'll have another great turnout.

Hey John!  I hate to miss for the first time, especially since it's been a few months since I've seen everyone! But my sister Isabel will be in town (she hasn't visited Huntsville in several years) and we will actually be quite busy looking for an apartment for my Mom who is moving here March 1st from TX. Yikes!  That's right around the corner!  Anyway, hello to all and hugs around the room!

I am looking forward to seeing everyone who can come. Ruth we will miss you, but how great that your sister is coming to visit you! And your mom is moving here? Fantastic. Does anyone have an update on Sharon's health? And thanks to Cheryl Crawford for updating her profile. Cheryl, what great photos of you and your family in your profile. I see you still have those blue eyes and great smile. I especially like the photo of you and your daughter while she throws flower petals at the camera. Good to see another Mt. Gap kid from Whitesburg Estates has lasted so long and is living a good life. God bless you and yours. And the rest of you guys and gals! James

On Sharon: I got a call from Gilbert just after Sharon got out of surgery. The surgeon did not see any change from the last time he was in there and the biopsies did not show any cancer. That's all good news, but they still don't know why she's still coughing so much. The investigation continues...

I haven't got biospy results yet, my Dr called and said cancer hasn't been ruled out. Until lab results come back, it's definitive.

Dr told Gilbert he didn't see any but that wasn't under microscope! Gilbert kinda jumped the gun (or I should say Dr did)

Still need prayers and really appreciate it!!

Love my Grissom Group!!

Great get together this afternoon at Baumhowers in Huntsville- It's always good to see everybody that can make it, and share stories (that we've probably shared many times, but it never gets old), and just catching up on where folks are and what's going on w/ them- For those not able to come, we missed you, and hope you can make the next one, will be setting it up this spring- For those there, thanks for yet another great time reminiscing.

John! Hate that I missed this one, but was working all weekend and no chance to travel to Huntsville!  Anyway - I'll be on board the sixty bus by the end of the week!  Looking forward to some kind a class party in this regard later this year!

Cheers,

J.D.

Hey JD!  Count me in to help plan and execute the Level 60 Celebration (sounds like an accomplishment/achievement rather than  plain 'ol' 60 years old').  Some of us (not yet me) are already at Level 60 and loving it!  hehe  (you know who you are)

Ruth! Alisa! and those of you wanting to help organize the 60th birthday party, I will be starting this in March!  Expect to hear from me. And classmates expect to see a "druthers" survey about it.

We can keep it simple and light jeans and ball caps, or go full Gala on it (black tie and cocktail dresses) and we can do it on the cheap - ala routine gathering with increased participation push - or slightly more fancy for some cost ala mini-reunion night.

We'll go with the majority wishes.

J.D.
