Its "funny" that my last post on a special piece of furniture should top the message forum as I checked in the morning.  This weekend marked the demise of another special piece of furniture from our lives.  When Sherron and I first married we didn't have much money and no furniture so we rented the furniture that "filled" our appartment for some time.  But the first piece of furniture we did go in debt to buy was a piano.  It was a beautiful dark oak console, that weighed a ton.  Sherron enjoyed playing the piano and singing to each of our unborn children and two of our daughters took piano lessons.  That old piano endured many happy moments preparing for recitals.  All of the moves and differing climates made it almost impossible to keep in tune.  When our oldest daughter had a house big enough to have a piano, she inherited it.  Tuning problems, age and lack of use prompted a family agreement to disassemble that magnificent box of strings, keys and wood.  We now has a box of keys and the top front panel with which she hope to create a utilitarian memorial to the old piano.   Thank you Mr. Piano for all the sweet tunes you gave us and the beautiful memories.  Later.

It is I....class forum stalker, who has been reading the recent posts, but not commenting. I do enjoy them all, even the ones that refer to enemas and other things I don't  like to think about. 

I am just tired lately. I think ragweed season is doing things to me that didn't used to affect me. Plus, I have done some really asinine things lately, which even for me, have had me wondering if somebody's been lacing my brownies with funny stuff. Someday I will reveal some of these things, or then again, maybe I'll make you wait for the movie.

Connie, I left a message on Danny's phone about the class get together, and wrote an email to Susan. Susan replied that she would like to come, but did not know if she could. I made those contacts a few weeks ago, but It took me forever to get around to contacting Teresa, Judy, and Kathy. I think they already knew, but as of today I can say that I have either spoken with, or left messages for everyone on my list. I now have a clear conscience. Well, about that stuff at least.

I better go. Hugs to all my buddies, and that means everyone.

Remembing 12 years ago, and praying for our country.

Oh how I wish there was a "LIKE" button on here.   There are so many things y'all post that I so love and so agree with!

Sure hope you are planning to come to our get=together on 10/13.  I can't think of a better way to spend a Fall, Sunday afternoon than with my "old" friends, remembering and laughing and catching-up.  You all know it is very casual..  Please come.

I have neglected Ross, and Stephanie, so a very belated birthday wish for each of you, too!

It's a very rainy night in Ohio...one good only for curling up and sleeping. How 'bout them Dawgs yesterday? Nearly scared us to death! Our son in Colorado called during overtime to "watch" the rest of the game with us.

Hope everyone has a blessed week. Now I go curl up and sleep!

Diane, one of my son's called during the OT of the GA. game to watch it "together" also.    Such a nerve-racking game. Thankful the dawgs pulled it out!

Now hoping the Braves pull it out tonight!!!!                Also that tonight will be a turn-around for the Falcons!

Gary, I especially liked the idea about Alabama playing the White House! 

Another note about Sunday ---   I will have paper products, lemonaid and ice.            Will have several chairs, but if you have a folding chair that is easy to transport, you could bring it.            Hope to see you soon.
