Gary and Jim,  you are behind the times. This is the little black dress that is all the rage with the girls of '68.

GOOD MORNING MATES!

Thought you had gotten rid of me didn't you! well not so fast my maties!

Been gone for a while now, but I'm back! No rock throwing Now!

I do want to thank everyone for the birthday wishes! And I hope Your

64th is as good as mine was, Thank You!

Things have been a little hectic here in the "Briarpatch". As some of you

know, we have been having a battle royal over of all things a Veterans

Wall Park. Seens we have a real A--hole as a County Commissioner.

He has been fighting us over a location for our Park. And even the

thought of building a park. Anyway after bout 60 "burley mad vets"

showed up for the last commission meeting. He thought it might be

a wise discission on his part to grant us our wishes! (Other wise he

was a fix'en to be Tarred an Feathered), So after correcting a

mistake made many years ago. I am proud to say Putnam County

is about to have a place to celibrate it's veterans.

Other than that all is quite here in the "Briarpatch" Until later

we meet! Be a seeing you Mates!!!

In my never ending quest to insure you are all well informed .........

A little story to start your Christmas season in the right spirit.

When four of Santa’s elves got sick, the trainee elves did not produce toys as fast as the regular ones, and Santa began to feel the Pre-Christmas pressure.
Then Mrs. Claus told Santa her Mother was coming to visit, which stressed Santa even more.
When he went to harness the reindeer, he found that three of them were about to give birth and two others had jumped the fence and were out, Heaven knows where.
Then when he began to load the sleigh, one of the floorboards cracked, the toy bag fell to the ground and all the toys were scattered.
Frustrated, Santa went in the house for a glass of cider and a shot of rum.
When he went to the cupboard, he discovered the elves had drunk all the cider and hidden the rum.
In his frustration, he accidentally dropped the cider jug, and it broke into hundreds of little glass pieces all over the kitchen floor. He went to get the broom and found the mice had eaten all the straw off the end of the broom.
Just then the doorbell rang, and an irritated Santa marched to the door, yanked it open, and there stood a little angel with a great big Christmas tree. The angel said very cheerfully, ‘Merry Christmas, Santa. Isn’t this a lovely day? I have a beautiful tree for you. Where would you like me to stick it?’
And so began the tradition of the little angel on top of the Christmas tree.

Not a lot of people know this.

Gary, I enjoyed learning the history of the angel on top of the christmas tree...laugh  Made me laugh..

I read in the Echo tonight that Mrs. Helmreich, Dennis' mom died a few days ago...   I know she had not been doing well for a while.   Will sure remember that family in prayers.

Stay warm and well and safe..         Love to y'all.

Merry Christmas to the friends I have loved the longest. I hope your day has been a good one, and that the new year greets you with kindness and good health.

If I could reach out and hug everyone, I would. Hugs are medicine to me, and do my heart good.

Now go find someone under the mistletoe!
