i have just finished speaking with mine, and what a treat. I loved talking with Gary, Danny, and Teresa. I called Susan in San Antonio, but she was working. I left a message with the person who answered the phone. They promised they would deliver it.

Gary and Sherron plan to be there. Dan and Chrystal will be away on an anniversary trip they planned long ago, and Teresa will be taking care of grandchildren in Montgomery. I will also be doing grandmother duty in IL, which I promised them at Christmas I would do. So I must not be as persuasive as Kay. But I LOVED talking with my dear friends, so that was pay off for me. Dan and Teresa expressed regrets, and said to tell everyone "Hello" in the biggest way. 

I'm so glad to hear Jimmy is much better, and that Linda Landers is doing well. It's always great to hear good news.

I hope it's a wonderful time at Loco's. How can it not be, with such great people there!? Oh, I'm sad to miss it, truly. Roy is going to love being home in Springtime. Roy, I'll especially miss seeing you. It's been a long time since Young Harris.

Rabun said that Judy called today while I was taking a nap. He surely enjoyed talking to her. He and I discussed it, and decided that we will come. Of course there is always the possibility there could be serious illness, death or a funeral that could prevent our coming. We are praying that nothing will happen to cause us to cancel our plans to be there. Looking forward to seeing all of you who will be able to be there and having a great time.

I am on a shuttle bus as I write! riding from the Denver airport to Colorado Springs, in a snow storm! It was 75 here yesterday, but they arranged more snow just for me. Dick flew with me to Denver, but he is continuing to San Diego. When did my life get so crazy?

I feel guilty that its been a while since I checked in here ...... but its seems the same for many others.  I noticed an obituary in this morning's paper that a Mrs. Crenshaw passed away.  I believe it to be our former teacher but not sure.  Can anyone out there verify.  I hope you are all have a very blessed week and getting into the swing of summer and RETIREMENT!  Later.

Gary, I haven't been checking in here either. I blame it on Facebook! Yes, the obit you saw was our sweet Mrs. Crenshaw. Someone also posted on Facebook. I think it was Deborah Coile Weir. Mrs. Crenshaw was special, and seemed to enjoy coming to our 40th reunion so much. I loved her as a teacher, but mostly as a person. She always said our class was her favorite.

I also read about Ms. Crenshaw's death.   She was such a sweet, sweet lady and a good teacher.

I'm glad that she and her husband came to our 40th. reunion in 2008....... and now they are both dead.  (but I feel sure they are together with the Lord now!)

We are reminded each day to NOT take our time/ life for granted.  I am looking forward to the next time all of us can gather -- and I so hope that we will all make a real effort to be there.
