Happy Birthday to Joy and Gail.  Looking forward to seeing you both on Sunday at the class gathering at Connie's.

Connie, thanks for all you do, you are such a sweet friend.  Can't wait to see everyone!

Happy Birthday to two very sweet, brown eyed ladies...Joy and Nancy. I am barely making it under the wire, but I mean it none the less.

Nancy, our memories go back so far. I spent lots of nights at your house, and shared much laughter. We were just babies back then, but we thought we were so grown up. I hope your day has been special in every way.

Joy, we didn't have many classes together, but I always liked you. I have our class picture when we were in either first or second grade together, and your eyes were as huge and pretty then as they are now. When we moved back to Athens in 1984 I went to the mall one day and saw you on the escalator.mI was so happy to run into an old friend!! We had been far away since '72, and I was thrilled to see a familiar face. We stood and talked a while. You were one of my first happy surprises after we moved home for three years. I hope you have had a special day, too.

We are sad that we can't be at the get together Sunday. I really mean that. Nowhere am I more comfortable than sitting at Connie's and visiting with y'all. There is just something very special about being with people you've known since childhood. Shared memories, common experiences...a chance to just be with others you've known forever. We have been traveling lots lately to see our kids, and we will actually be coming through GA for only a couple of days later next week enroute to Fort Lauderdale, where Dick has a conference to attend. We weren't exactly sure what the schedule would be for a long time, but as much as we wish we could arrange it, we just can't leave here that many days early to be with you. I care nothing about going to FL, but Dick wants me to join him, so naturally I will go. It is usually the prettiest week of Fall here, and I am not crazy about trading the cool, crisp fall days I love for hot Florida. We will be driving a rental car down, and flying back. We have to do the craziest things sometimes. Y'all have a good time, remember all the funny stories, and we will keep trying to make it "next time". Pee Wee, I'm really sorry we will miss YOU, but I'm very glad you'll be there. God bless you all. You are all so dear to our hearts.

First of all, let me say "Happy Birthday" to Diane and wishing you many, many more!

Connie, I had plans for coming tomorrow to the class gathering until this past Wednesday.  A dear friend of mine from church had a death in the family and I need to be there for her this Sunday.  So, I'm not gonna make it this time.  I was so looking forward to seeing everybody.  I had all my plans to stay overnight with Aunt Wilma and see my Cousin Jane at home or at the reunion.  I know it will be a good time for all because you are such a wonderful hostess.  Thank you.

Please tell everyone I said "hello" and I will certainly attempt to make it at the next one.  I miss you all!  And I really miss my dear friend Inez so much.  My life has not been the same since she's been gone.

Love, Liz

It was GREAT to see several of our Class of '68 folks, plus some spouses  here on Sunday!   Just talking, laughing AND Medicare discussions!  laugh.       We had tables fill up with delicious food and snacks that we enjoyed all afternoon also.

We sure MISSED  the folks that couldn't be here!!

Here is a list of those who were here:  Tommy Adkins (Paula); Beverly Bramlett Burgess (Donnie); Jesse Allen Bray (Carol);  Ross and Pam Mathis Dudley;  Steve Eberhardt;  Monteen Fields Mattox;  Gary Grice (Sherron);  Dennis Helmreich;  David Landers;  Charles McGarity (Elaine);   Connie Morgan White;  Tereesa Stevens Minish;  Judy Stewart Findley (Ed);  Nancy Tucker Griffiths;  Kathy Wheless Little (Danny);  Kay Wheless Smith  (Mike);  Ray Wheless;  Linda Wheless Young  (Carl);  Jimmy Willis.

If laughter is any indication, I feel safe in saying:  A GOOD TIME WAS HAD BY ALL wink

I continue to count our Class of '68 as one of my huge blessings in my life!!

Gary, unfortunately, I don't know how to fix my computer so that this also shows up on Facebook for our class members...   I should have gotten you to help me with that Sunday :)   I appreciate you having this class site for us!

Happy Birthday, Judy!! Remember when we couldn't wait to have another birthday, so we could drive, or date, or just be older? Well, I think it's still a great thing to have a birthday, because it means we've been given another year and more possibilities! Love you, girl! I'm remembering lots of "happy days", and I don't mean the ones from the TV show! Have a great day!

Hello friends....

As my time for Medicare approaches, I wonder if any of you have any information / suggestions about the supplement insurances?  I'd appreciate any thoughts you have.

I sure hope you are all doing well.  You are often in my thoughts.

Hello alll (-: Thanks for the "happy birthday wishes"! Thanks to Jimmy Tiller especially and I hope you had a good one as well on the 2nd. I have never forgot your birthday since it is so close to mine. Also, Ray & Kay had theirs on the 7th (3 days after mine). Thanks, Diane ! yes, many "happy days memories"!

FRIENDS, thanks for all the wishes on facebook! Connie, I will be deciding about that this week NOW THAT I AM "OFFICIALLY OLD". I will try to prove that WRONG but I AM in the GOLDEN YEARS, for sure ! I might be wrong but I think Jimmy Willis said ....CHOOSE PLAN "F" whichever way you go. Hey, Jimmy, we need to hear from you (-:  HUGS ALL!

Hi everyone, hope all are doing well. Just returned from 6 month checkup, all is well. Diane the jonquils are blooming here and at your home place. My mother said my dad brought her a bouquet of them the day I was born, so they must have bloomed early  in 1950 as well. Trivia: our senior year I drew a petition that we all signed. I still have it. Wh remembers what it was? No prizes, so no hurry!

Connie Morgan (White)

Glad to hear you had a good check-up Jimmy!   Sweet story about your daddy bringing your mother flowers.  I went out to cut all the blooms in my yard before they freeze this week-end.

Now I'm curious about the petition...  I remember that you were quite a good writer, so there is no telling :)

early Happy Valentines wishes to all my "old" friends

Connie, since you were first to respond, i'll give you a hint: it was about something we, only as seniors, would be concerned about. Does that ring a bell?
