Mrs. Betty Jo Buchanan Wheeler of Drewry, NC, died May 6, 2012, at Maria Parham Medical Center in Henderson.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Francis P. and Josephine Frances Gupton Buchanan.

She was a member of Mt. Auburn Christian Church, the Little Garden Club of Warrenton, the Book Club of Warrenton, and the Mt. Auburn Ladies Fellowship.

Betty Jo is survived by her husband, Nelson O'Neal Wheeler; children, Melanie Torti of Greenville, SC, and Neal Wheeler of Lawton, Okla; five grandchildren: Kyle AnneTorti, Layton Torti, Josephine Torti, Tommy Wheeler, and Megan Wheeler.
