Douglas L. Jones

I am currently serving as a Bishop since April 2022. It was odd to be called at the age of 65, but the Lord told me it was coming about 8 months before and to be prepared. I have served as a high councilman twice, Elder's Quorum President, Bishopric member, Stake Mission Presidency, Ward Mission Leader 3 times and before that. I have also served in all areas of Young Men's.

I have been working for Xerox since 2006, as an account specialist. I teach classes, write documentation, repairs and maintenance, travel to clients as needed.

Kathy and I run a small publishing company Idea Creations Press LLC., www.ideacreationspress.com (2012-current). We publish 6 -12 books a year. Kathy does the client work and editing. I do the interior layout and design and cover design and interface with the printer and distributor.

Kathy and I also run a non-profit called My Secret Service, Inc. / Trees for Keeps, Inc. We are in the process of changing it from Trees for Keeps to My Secret Service. Our non-profit started in 2015, with Kathy and I and our three daughters as the directors. Our first yearly project was to provide Christmas trees, ornaments, decorations and small gifts to families in need. Covid-19 changed that and we felt a need to expand our non-profit to more year round endeavors. We now have 4 projects that run mainly year round. I worked for the church for a little while after we get married, as the scenic artist for Promised Valley Playhouse. I have spent my career half in technology and half in sales.

Kathy (Kathryn Elizabeth Tolman) and I were married in the Salt Lake Temple in March of 1980. We grow in love more and more each day.
