Thomas Jay Dorsett and Timothy Michael Dorsett

A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 6, 2002, in Beaverton
Foursquare Church for Thomas Jay Dorsett and his son Timothy Michael,
who died July 27 in a plane crash. Thomas Dorsett was 65; Timothy
Dorsett was 40.

Thomas Dorsett was born Aug. 1, 1936, in Bridgeport, Conn. He graduated
from Loyola Marymount University and received a master's degree from
University of Southern California and a doctorate from University of Idaho.
A self-employed engineering consultant, he had lived in Portland since
1987. In 1959, he married Loretta Vonderahe.

Timothy Dorsett was born Jan. 18, 1962, in Torrance, Calif. A graduate of
Gonzaga University, he was a network systems manager for Nuera
Communications in San Diego. In 1993, he married Nancy Ferris.

Thomas is survived by his wife; daughters, Anne Wellens and Valerie
Bowler; sons, Chris and Patrick; parents, Mary and Clarence; sisters,
MaryAnn Dorsett, Carole Dorsett and Marian Leos; brother, Bob; and
seven grandchildren.

Timothy is also survived by his wife; daughter, Rebecca; and son, Geoff.
