Tom Vaughn's brother, Bill, was killed in a plane crash in Virginia this past week.  I don't know other details at this time.  Again, I am asking for prayers for a classmate and his family.  Thanks to Becky for this information.  If you know more, please post.......

Tom, we are praying for your family in your loss.

Below is an email I got from Tom about his brother Bill.

Trying to make sure everyone has an opportunity to see the video memorial
for Bill on the funeral home website.
It's terrific and really shows who Bill was growing up and as a father.

O.K., another Picnic has come and gone.  Boy, it was a good one.  I saw so many people visiting for their reunions, it was amazing.  Princess and I watched the parade together.  Good seeing you, Princess.  So, many people are having BDs.  I can't wait till we have our 60's Bash!!!!  All of you that could not make the 40th Reunion, maybe you can plan to attend the Bash.  Trust me, you will have the time of your life.  All of the old memories get funnier and better as the years pass.  So, all of you that are visiting the site, please take the time to write something.  Let us know what and how you are doing.

Till later, Ka

Some of you may receive an email from me saying I am overseas and need money. This is a scam. I never go anywhere and I don't need money (yet). All the email addresses in my address book also disappeared so if you receive any more emails from alieceiowe instead of aliecelowe (the scammers changed the "l" to "i") delete them or send them to the scam bin. Aliece

Yes, it will be a fun time with a really great group of ladies.  There might be a couple of guys or so, but I don't think they will interfere with our fun.

Sadly, the class of 1970 lost another member, Larry Wells passed away last week.  It seems to be of natural causes according to the information that I can obtain......

I thought I would stop in to say hi now that the 5 acre garden is put to sleep. (Actually, 1 acre....it just seems to be 5!)   Too many tomatoes, okra, squash....well, you know.  For a summer that was so hot and so dry, the crops have been bountiful....God's wonderful blessing.  Now, the apples are calling.  We have 5 apple trees.  Each spring, I pray for a late freeze to kill the buds but that did not happen this year and they are loaded.  Anyone wanna come to Kansas to pick apples??  (Didn't think so).  I am especially thankful that almost everything can be frozen.  I had my fill of canning as a youngster and don't do much of that.

I've been so busy, I haven't had a chance to ask about our ailing classmates that you guys have posted about.  Any updates?

Come on!  Charlotte has been wonderful about creating this website and it is up to us to keep it going!

Happy Fall!  Yay, Football!
