An eerie silence has crept over the forum. Has some nameless primordial fear crept in among us or have we this quickly run out of things to say......or ask?

Joe Don,
You are a walking, talking Wikipedia.....get back in the game!!

Princess,

Are you going to let the "Hockaday School for Wayward Girls" comment go unchallenged, or are you going to let us all come to the reunion wondering what he meant?

Aliece......where are you?

John, Walter, Mark.....enlighten us please!!

Ka, Get a job. Volunteer. Something. You have entirely too much time on your hands!!

IT'S TIME TO WAKE UP PEOPLE!!!

OK, who is the famous DJ that played this song, what is the name of the song, and who sang it. Oh, and what year.

"without no seams, nor needlework, then she'll be a true love of mine."

Personally, I think Big Dad has all us bumfuzzeled! He's prob going to show up in July on his Harley hawg, tatoos covering both arms, decked out in leather duds and diamond studs in all 5 piercings in each ear, not to mention the 7 tougue studs! Sorry, BD, didn't mean to spoil your surprise.

Mike, Princess was and is a perfect lady. Hanging around her school in Dallas was, to me, like a kid window shopping in a candy store. Lots of purty girls to look at. Princess, what ever became of Carlette Parrish?

Ka Hughes (Wilfong)

O.K., Fred, it was from The Graduate, 1967, Scarbrough Affair. Not sure of DJ.

Hey, BD, I already do alot of volunteer work, plus keeping kids, plus golf, plus committee meetings, plus Bible study, plus taking care of Ron, plus chores so, the way I figure it; my time on the computer is a break for me. So what if it is a lllllllong break, I deserve it. Hey, I'm still waiting for my rent!!!!!

Allright MammaKa,

Glad you 'fessed up. I know you do a lot....Just couldn't resist the jab.

I may have to owe you on the rent. We could trade out! How do you like your burgers?

Let's see, I like them medium, mustard, no onions, everything else on them.

We might need some no-doz also. I have a tendency to fall asleep early. I can stay awake sometimes until 12. That is pretty good for me. I never was a late person, because I always had to get up so early.

I saw these guys live in Vegas once. Still Funny.

I forgot Joe Don visited me in Dallas, he was in school there also. Do you realize how long ago that was? I was not at Hockaday, my school had apartments in the same complex. Knowing is not as much fun as not knowing! I don't know about Carlette Parish.
Does anyone remember listening to Alice's Restuarant in Bill Neeley's english class? I think we were jrs. read Lord of The Flies that year also.

Yes, I remember that class very well. She had us do alot of things that we didn't think made any sense.

Hey John,
I remember when Mr. Cook announced he was going to marry that gal. I always thought he was up to something!
I ran into Bruce Cook at UT on campus one day. He was there doing graduate studies. When he last saw me I was 5'6" and on that day I was 6'4". Nope, he didn't recognize me. (note: I grew another inch when I wa 23) He used to get angry at me a lot but on this day he was very nice and pleasant. I understand he got his Phd. and retired at Clemson.
Say, what ever happened to that bonehead Malcolm Atwood?
Could I ever tell you some stories about that guy!

Remember this? It sounded better buzzing full blast out of my cheap speakers while driving down Dip with the windows down.

Hey John . . . I recall one other time that you (and many others of us) were on the verge of being out of band. Do you recall the art work that you displayed on the windows at the Inn of the Six Flags? That nearly blew Charlie Brown's top off. I believe if we hadn't all been seniors we would have had a l-o-n-g trip home. By the way, did you ever finish that book you were reading?

Can't wait to see you and all the classmates this summer. Glad you're coming back.

John-
I had no idea you were such a rabble rouser you old hellion!! The THS band was always great, but I am starting to wonder how we ever kept a band director with Mark fogging up the instrument room and you constantly pushing the behavior envelope.

Does anyone remember Mr. Brooks, our Jr. High band director? I'll never forget when Lonnie sneezed in his trombone and nearly gave him ED.

OK, JD, after that, I am certainly ready for the funny farm HEE HEE.

John,
Brce Cook's wife was Pat Eikens She is still teaching at Clemson in the audio visual department and Bruce retired from Clemson about two years ago. They had 5 children, none of whom are married. Just a few trivia facts.

I was right the first time about this!!! Some of you have waaaaaaayyyyyyy too much time on your hands.

Good to see the list getting longer. Can't help out too much with the songs--I pretty much stuck with the "country" or "western", maybe that's why I still have regular psych appointments.

Wasn't in the band, can't play, can't sing, can't dance, but I was on the "Dirt Judging Team" in VoAg with some of you--Buttons--Whatever happen to the Ag Teacher, "Hawkshaw" Hawkins? Ask Buttons about calling him "Hawkshaw", if he heard it, someone was gonna get some lumber laid across the backside of their Wranglers!

Buttons Carlisle

I really don't know what happened to B.J. Hawkins. The last I heard, he was somewhere in east Texas at some type of children's home - maybe kind of like Boys' Ranch. I don't know how accurate that info. is. We had some really good times in Ag. Those are some favorite memories of mine also.

Charlotte Grantham (O'Daniel)

Dirt judging team! I thought dirt was dirt. Wonder what kind I have. Bill Hawkins is on our prayer calendar as having cancer....don't know any update. Maybe Karen knows more.

I have come to the conclusion that we have some "eavesdroppers" out there---always listening but never speaking up. Ok, all you, I can see how often you are on here and some of you are on here everyday! Let's hear something enlightening from you-
How about it Kelly Bob, C.E., Vickie, and Vicky, Bonnie, Steve, Bruce, Marcia, Ron, Bill, Dian, Mac and Mac, Kenneth, Judy, and I hear David Kinser is dropping in too but not even signing up---come on. We want to know that you are at least in the room with us....

Sometimes I think they need to be "coming to take me away!" Haha
Have a great weekend!

Hey, folks! Errr, forget that - sounds old!

Hey, kids! I've been out of town and didn't have internet access all the time. I figured Big Daddy was cutting up while I was gone.

I always wondered what happened to Bill Keck, our youth choir director at First Baptist. Kelly? You know?

You know how old ladies sometimes have purple hair? Well, I've got my start - purple bangs. Big Daddy, too bad I won't be at church in the morning so you can check out my punkness that goes with your ponytail.

I promise no tattoos, though. And no new piercings...

at least not for now.

I always was a hippie wannabe! It wasn't their causes that I was in love with, it was their wardrobe. I'll never forget my parents coming unglued on the Tulia Country Club golf course when I showed up my Freshman year in college to play golf in moccasins, beads, headband, the works! Ai yi yi yiiii!

Still just an old Jesus Freak!

I guess everyone is sleeping!! Trying to catch up on the ZZZZZ's you lost with the time change?

The message forum has been idle all week-end, come on guys, WAKE UP!!!!

Kelly Ewen

I have been motivated by the second classmate to contribute. I am very much looking forward to the reunion. My parents split my senior year and I did not spend much time in Tulia after graduation. I feel we had an outstanding class and will enjoy spending time with all of you.

Aliece Sefcik (Lowe)

Greetings from the deep freeze of Kansas! Been out of the loop as we are busy shipping cattle out to the Flint Hills pasture til July, when we will bring them back into the ranch's feedlot to finish out. So, all of you....EAT BEEF! I've been thinking of a teacher...Mrs. Waldrip or Waldrop?? What grade and what class?? I remember the guys liked to watch her walk....a lot. I wonder why??

03/10/09 10:28 PM #172

Ka Hughes (Wilfong)

She was a good looking blonde and then there was Mrs. Cunningham. The guys went ape over her too!!! Her husband was one of the coaches. I was brousing the annuals the other night and started looking at all of our "old" teachers. I wonder what they look like now?

03/10/09 10:37 PM #173

Becky Teel (Milner)

Aliece, I was thinking about Mrs. (Sammye) Waldrip, too! She taught Latin - does anyone else remember the toga party at her house in Canyon? It was rather tame, to be truthful. I always regretted not getting a second year of Latin. She moved and the first (and only) year didn't do me a great deal of good! Hey, all of you school people out there - are you ready for Spring Break??

03/10/09 11:39 PM #174

Jerry Stephens

Hey Aliece, thanks for the reminder. It' suppose to go all the way down to 60 tonight. I better get a long sleeve T-shirt to go with my shorts.

Becky, the spring breakers have been here at the beaches at Ft. Myers for the past week. Judy (wife) loves to go to the beach so I tag along for the sights. Something happened the pass few years though, They were attractive young women now they are all the same age as my daughters. Looking just is not the same. I know now that when they smile at me, they are seeing my gray beard thinking what a nice cute pot bellied geezer and at the same time I'm thinking I still got it.

For any of you that were on the B-team with Coach Cunningham, maybe you will remember this. We were in a huddle when he made the announcement we were going to learn a really great play from WTSU. Someone said "From where?". I lost my mind and said "Oh, you know West Texas High." Poor Jack Altman was one step closer to coach than I was so he caught the full force of his foot to his back side. At the same time, I was running backwards saying over and over "I'm sorry Jack."
