A visitation for Kay Garrett, age 62, of Tyler is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Monday, December 30, 2013 at Autry Funeral Home Chapel in Jacksonville with Curtis Oliver officiating. A private burial will be at Providence Cemetery in Jacksonville.

I always thought Kay looked like Sophia Loren, After seeing the movie "House Boat" I was convinced I should live on a house boat. (bucket list) and, I was mesmerized by Sophia. The resemblance made it impossible for me to talk to Kay in High school. If she even knew I was alive she probably was wondering what was wrong with the guy that always turned red in the face and walked away.

Kay was a beautiful girl both inside as well as on the outside. We were great friends in Junior High and I also knew her older brother, Gary. Kay was also tougher than a boot. I watched her whip his a-- after school one day and reminded myself to NOT make her mad !! Gary was a pretty tough guy his self. Although I haven't seen her in many years, she will be dearly missed. May God bless her soul.
