The Reunion has now come and gone.  It was fantastic and everyone had a great time.

It was truly wonderful to see everyone.

See you in 2014.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

This is a little late, (I'm slow!) but, Betsy and Kathi, you've done it again. The reunion was a marvelous event! Every detail was so well thought out and it was obvious that we all had a blast! Thank you, for all that you did to make this possible and for acknowledging my contribution, it was my privilege to be a part of such a joyful occasion! Keep me in mind when planning our next celebration...

Lotsa love,
Connie

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
September 29, 2010

William Penn Names Alumni Association Award Recipients
Each year, the Alumni Association of William Penn University presents the following three awards at the Recognition Banquet of Homecoming weekend:
Distinguished Career Award
Among the foundational concepts that underlie the mission of William Penn University is leadership. The individual honored with the Distinguished Career Award is one who has established a reputation as a leader in his or her chosen career field. Honorees are alumni whose success inspires current students to use their own Penn experience to become leaders.

Distinguished Career Award recipient: Ray Blue. Saxophonist/Educator/Clinician Ray Blue has studied and performed music all his life. Jazz, R&B and soul music became Blue’s passion in high school and he started playing for dances and in clubs at the young age of 15. Blue has played and recorded with a host of world renowned musicians and performed in festivals and on stages around the globe. His first CD, Always with a Purpose was released in 2001 and his most recent, a 2010 release is entitled Berries & Blues. Blue is the founder and Executive Director of Cross-Cultural Connection, Inc. a non-profit performance and educational organization that promotes jazz performance in educational and community institutions world wide.

What can I say.... Betsy, you pulled this off and it was GREAT! Friday night was so much fun. It was so great to see everyone, especially those who were not coming to the reunion. The Cove was the perfect place to be to reunite with our friends. The band they had was so good, can't wait to hear them again.

Saturday night was awsome! The room looked so good. Betsy, again what can I say, you thought of everything. The tables were so nice, the banner was amazing, as was the food. Ziggy and I had such a great time. I can't believe it's over and we don't have it to look forward to.

Now, here's a thought... Why not have a yearly get together in October at the Cove. Whoever is around can meet there. Just a thought.

Again, thanks Betsy, Kathi and Connie for all you have done to make this reunion what it was...WONDERFUL, GREAT, SUCH A GOOD TIME.

Ellen
