Re: The picture. I think you're right Kathy and I'm gonna take a stab at the other 2 gentlemen being Lumpy and Eddie Haskell. Good as guess as any

02/17/09 09:26 PM #751

Tom Held

No doubt, you two are correct with your answers. Dick made this one way to easy. Lumpy was his nickname.....his actual name on the show was Clarence Rutherford. So you guys think your pretty smart, huh ? Then who is the newest photo on the NK70 homepage ? Just his "TV name" will be good enough......if you can come up with his real name, you win the grand prize !!

02/18/09 02:02 AM #752

Francis G. Stein

Bud---Billy Gray from farther knows best

Francis G. Stein

Wake-up Tom I want my prize?????? Alright Francis, you are correct. It 50's TV actor and former speedway motorcycle racer Billy "Bud" Gray. As far as the grand prize, I was going to take the winner out on a date......I'm sorry though, you're not my type !

Kathy Diane Dunn (Steele)

Oops it was Barbara Billingsley, as June Cleaver, Beaver and Wally's mother. Ward was the father. Sorry bout that!

02/18/09 07:54 AM #755

Kathy Diane Dunn (Steele)

I think the guy from the 50's picture is from Father Knows Best. His name on the show was Bud. Don't remember his real name.

02/18/09 09:46 AM #756

Luellen Byrer (Miller)

Eddie Haskell looked to me a lot like Ward Cleaver! When did they all get so OLD? Is Barbara Billingsley still living??

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TODAY TO GWEN MCCULLOUGH!

Anybody remember my brother Gary? He turns 70 tomorrow!

02/18/09 07:36 PM #757

Tom Held

Lu I remember Gary very well from J&G Sunoco days. OMG, he cannot be 70 ! Where have the years gone... ---------------------------------------------------- I believe Barbara Billingsly is still living (??) ------------------------------------------------------ The girl in the pic on the homepage is Bud's sister..............Kitten

Francis G. Stein

Tom, walk up three houses and give the prize to Taylor & Dustin they would end up with it anyway. As far as the date thing I guess we could talk motorcycles. We could go riding, but after my 2nd back surgery, I promised the doctor I would never throw a leg over my old scoot again. ): I sold you guys short on your 50's & 60's TV trivia knowledge. I am going to search for a photo of an early TV actor that will stump all of you ! I will post it as soon as I find a photo. So, all of you know-it-alls keep an eye on the homepage. Tom

02/18/09 08:39 PM #759

Leslie Jones (Palcovic)

Lu, You know for a fact I remember Gary. I named all of your brothers and sisters, with the exception of Missy but I did remember her after you told me. Extend my warmest wishes to Gary and I did get a card today to send to your Mother. So glad I browsed the pages and read that.

Looks like I'll be residing in San Antonio for quite some time. So I've decided to start taking classes and try to finish my degree. However, I won't be going out for cheerleader and i'm pretty surre I won't be homecoming queen. But I'm kind of excited about the whole thing.

Richard Finke

Tom, I found this picture today and almost put it on. I would never have guessed the answer, but once you know the answer, it seems easy. I think the guy almost looks like Bruce Hatton as a Freelandville look alike. Dick....I don't think anyone will get this child actor's identity.....unless they cheat !!! Leslie, Good luck on your schooling. We will be expecting progress reports. Where has Steve Stremming gone. Steve, if you are there chime in sometime.

Ruth Hagemeier (Wesner)

Could the picture be of 'Timmy' from the show "Lassie"? Can't think of his real name.

02/19/09 08:04 AM #762

Kathy Diane Dunn (Steele)

I agree with Ruth. Could the first picture be of Timmy from Lassie? The next picture I am going to guess is Shari Lewis? If so, where are her puppets?

02/19/09 09:39 AM #763

Luellen Byrer (Miller)

I was guessing Kathy or Kitten from Father Knows best? No clue who the guy is. Don't keep us guessing too long - life's too short.

More power to ya Leslie for going back to school! (Hope Pam heals well and soon.)

Gary said yesterday that growing old is mandatory but growing up is optional - and he ain't growing up! (his words). He (and Christina) goes to as many ball games and wrestling as he possibly can (his grandson Cody made it to semistate in wrestling).

02/19/09 01:31 PM #764

Richard Finke

The girl is Kathy from "Father Knows Best". I'll let Tom give the answer, but he is not Timmy from Lassie. I know you all watched the show.

02/19/09 07:05 PM #765

Leslie Jones (Palcovic)

Hey, is this guy the kid from the Dick Van Dyke Show? At first I thought it was Eric Estrada from Chips, then I changed my mind. Of course i could always change my mind again.

Tom Held

Timmy ???? ......he he he.....guess you guys were not as smart as you thought you were ! I have not heard from Francis yet. He might have the correct answer. I'll wait until tomorrow night to reveal the correct answer. In the mean time, keep studing the picture. The identity is in his face.....his eyes, especially. Forget his hair, it is totally different than when he was on TV. Luellen If I can recall, it seems like Gary had some interest in restoring old cars ???. Is that correct ? Back years ago, Gary, Jeff and I went over to Washington to see about parts for ?????.....maybe an old 40's car ? Met with some guys from 20th Century Chevy Car Club who had just purchased Sam Jones'(Jones Engineering) E/MP Pontiac Firebird. (I remember seeing Sam run the car at Columbus, Ohio when we were all there for the 1975(?) Springnationals) Jeff might remember.

A horse is a horse of course of course.......could it be Lassie? LOL

02/20/09 08:12 AM #768

Kent Harting

Is it Jay "Dennis The Menace" North?

02/20/09 08:22 AM #769

Richard Finke

Bingo Kent, Mr. Wilson says you are correct.

02/20/09 11:18 AM #770

Leslie Jones (Palcovic)

A horse is a horse of course of course, and no one can talk to a horse of course, that is of course unless the horse is a Famous Mr. Ed.

Go right to the source and ask the horse, he'll give you an answer that you'll endorse, You're always on a steady course to talk to Mr. Ed.

(way too much time watching TV)

02/20/09 12:49 PM #771

Dan Roark

The other end of Mr. Ed is Mike Summers !!!!

02/20/09 03:31 PM #772

Kathy Diane Dunn (Steele)

Leslie, I am sooooooooo impressed with your knowledge of the Mr. Ed song! Way to go!

Judith Kay Stout (Anderson)

Hi Everyone..I can't believe the recent celebrity pictures are getting FAR MORE reaction that any comments on our recent presidential election..go figure :)

02/20/09 05:10 PM #774

Leslie Jones (Palcovic)

Kathy, Thanks I was completely surprised by that myself. I think the message forum lets you release and unwind and perhaps that's why there's more silliness than getting depressed about the election and the mess our economy is in. Ya got the crooks stealing from the crooks, and the other crooks bailing out the other crooks. Lucky we live in America.
