We remember how big a spacious the City Auditorium was for watching the older High School kids play basketball in the late 50s or maybe when the HarmoniCats put on a show. There were many good times at the City Auditorium, but we always had fun on a Saturday afternoon when we were dropped off at the "Roller Drome" for a wild afternoon of roller skating! I don't remember anyone calling it that, but we knew what to expect.   Fun and more fun. 

We probably didn't realize it then, but roller skating was popular there, even before we were born. Here's an article from January 1948, telling the older generation how to behave at the Roller Drome! 

I'm sure my parents never saw this video. But they did know about the Roller Drome!
