Roosevelt Grade School was origionally built as the new Junior/Senior High School in 1905. It held classes for 7th thru 12th grade. In 1923 a new Junior/Senior High School was built, next to Burlington Avenue, for 7th thru 12th grade. Roosevelt then became an Elementary school for grades K thru 6. It was closed for renovation in 1952 and reopened again in 1956.
